First impression of Orange Chocolate Truffle:
Orange Chocolate Truffle was in my cart before I even read the scent description. Orange and chocolate pair so well together and it ends up being a sweet and creamy scent in wax. I don’t burn it very often but when I do, I really enjoy the heck out of it.

Orange zest, sea salt, rich dark chocolate.
YUM!! Smelling the wax, I smelled orange first with creamy milk chocolate wrapped all around it and oh my goodness… it smelled delicious!! It smelled like sweet orange chocolate bites. One aspect I’m happy about – the chocolate to my nose smelled more like milk chocolate rather than dark and I liked that. The creamier and sweeter the chocolate, the better.
Time to light my candle!
I lit my Orange Chocolate Truffle candle in my large master bedroom and ended up moving it soon after to a medium size room. In my bedroom, the fragrance filled the room but very lightly. Once moved to a medium size room, it was much stronger and that’s what I was after. Strength! The aroma… a sweet candied orange with hints of chocolate. To me, this wasn’t a classic orange chocolate truffle and when I say that, I mean a true creamy chocolate with a sweet orange filling. This candle smelled more like a sugary orange hard candy with teeny hints of chocolate. It was sweet and delicious but not what I was expecting. The sea salt listed in the description? I never did detect salt and if it was there, it was very light.
Strength – I would rate Bath & Body Works Orange Chocolate Truffle a 6/7 out of 10 in a really large room. 8 in a medium and 10 in smaller rooms. It wasn’t super strong but gave a nice and steady medium throw.
How did my Orange Chocolate Truffle candle burn?
This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish. Yay!!
Closing to my review:
I enjoyed Orange Chocolate Truffle. It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting but it was still a sweet and delicious scent worth purchasing – especially if you love sweet candied orange scents. The chocolate was there as well but definitely more in the background.
If you’re interested in Orange Chocolate Truffle, don’t wait too long. This is a seasonal scent that will be gone before you know it. That’s the bummer with candles from Bath & Body Works… they’re there one day and then gone in a blink. And with that said, if you don’t see this fragrance listed on Bath & Body Works website, don’t despair – go to one of their stores which tends to carry all their latest fragrances. I literally just purchased this candle last week so I know it’s still available.
