Intro To My Soy Wax Melt Review
The actual holiday might be passed, but we’re still in the holiday mood here at Candlefind. We’re gearing up for some overdue wax melt and candle reviews for all of you, including this natural soy wax melt from Shortie’s Candle Company in the scent Christmas Tree. We’ve been loving on these new wax melts from Shortie’s, so I was glad to give this one a whirl.
First Impressions of My Soy Wax Melt
This wax melt was in their new fallen leaf clamshell style packaging with a hint of a tree branch and ornament up top. The wax was a pretty pale green. On cold sniff, I smelled fresh pine needles and then…something more! I was smelling a berry like scent which I was not expecting. I decided it was high time to check out the scent description on the website:

Ah – bakery! I knew I was smelling something more than the tree notes. To me, though, it smelled like sweet berries. Time to melt!
I used one cube in my 24W electric melter in a medium sized bedroom. I didn’t have to wait long before the scent starting wafting in the air. I could definitely smell that freshly cut tree smell, but it was very well balanced with the other notes. I still got berry and apple while warming. It was a nice surprise, as I was originally expecting just a pure tree scent.
I found this scent a little milder than Mistletoe Moments but more layered. Mistletoe Moments was really all about the greenery and I didn’t get much in the way of berry notes there. Christmas Tree, though, I smelled a wonderful mix of the freshly cut tree along with some berry and bakery notes.
How Did My Soy Wax Melt Perform?
This was such a comforting wax melt smell, I was head over heels in love. The scent went throughout the room it was in and I could smell it on down the hallway. I used 1 of the cubes in a 24W hot plate melter, which was perfect for this soft wax. I kept that cube in my melter all day and even melted it some the following day. The scent itself was on the milder side, but the throw was great.
Closing To My Soy Wax Melt Review
This was a great soy wax melt from Shortie’s. It was like comfort food…comfort wax! It put me in a festive mood, even though the holidays have passed. I am really digging on these new wax melts from Shortie’s and can’t wait to try even more.
