What did my Mocha Latte Swirl candle smell like?
I’ve always been a fan of coffee fragrances so Mocha Latte Swirl was an easy and fast purchase for me. The moment I smelled it – I closed my eyes and sighed in pure appreciation. The wax smelled like rich and creamy coffee, heavy on the cream. Super yum!!
Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:
Recharge with the scent of a wonderfully rich concoction of espresso and creamy caramel topped with whipped cream.
Caramel in the mix? Interesting. When I smelled the wax, I detected a rich coffee scent with lots and lots of whipped cream. If caramel is blended in, I’ll be very happy and hoping that element comes out once the candle is burning.
Time to find out!!
This was an interesting fragrance. Normally coffee scents are pretty strong right off the bat. This candle wasn’t. Once I lit the wicks, I kept coming back to my bedroom to gauge the aroma and never really smelled it unless I was directly around the candle. The aroma stayed pretty subtle from start to finish. What I could smell was a wonderful and creamy coffee scent, just as the description boasts. It was just very lightly scented.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 3 in a large room. 5 to 6 in a medium room. Pretty light which was so surprising for this type of fragrance.
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned perfect. Zero issues from start to finish. Clean and even burn.
Closing to my review:
I loved the aroma of this candle, I just wish it would have given a better scent throw. I was surprised and a little disappointed but it happens.
I may end up purchasing this candle again down the road just to see if I get the same result. You never know.
