Merry Mistletoe Bath & Body Works Candle Review

First impression of Merry Mistletoe:
Upon first opening the lid to my Merry Mistletoe candle, I was immediately taken back to my childhood years and Christmas Day at our house followed by a drive to Grandma and Grandpa’s for our “second Christmas.” At grandma’s house were plates piled with cookies, hot cocoa and hot apple cider – a warm fire, and a beautiful Christmas tree with presents underneath the tree. Merry Mistletoe smelled like my memory of those wonderful Christmas days and could easily be named Childhood Christmas or Childhood Memories.
The scent notes for Merry Mistletoe are:
Frozen cranberries, sparkling pear, icy peppermint, and balsam.
This candle is the perfect representation of those scents. This honestly smells like someone took my childhood Christmas and shoved it into a bottle. Very nostalgic and I LOVED it! Just to give you an added perspective, when I opened the front door for our UPS driver, he said it smelled like Christmas inside. That made my day and what I shoot for every year at Christmas. It’s my favorite time of the year and having a candle help achieve an even more magical holiday gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
Now, back to the aroma of my Merry Mistletoe candle. You can easily make out the balsam and cranberries with hints of peppermint and a lingering note of sweet pear. Perhaps it’s just my imagination, but I could also pick out cookies and maybe even the hot apple cider. I’m telling you, it’s the perfect melding of scents to create a magical Christmas aroma. The candle itself was a beautiful green that brings to mind a fresh cut Christmas tree. The label – gorgeous! All in all, this may just be THE Christmas candle for me.
How did my Merry Mistletoe candle burn?
Unlike some of the other Bath & Body Works candles that either burn like a torch or have trouble burning – this candle burned perfectly! A nice even and controlled burn that reached a full melt pool. I’ve been burning this for 3 days, approximately 4-5 hours each time, and I’m about 1/2 way through the candle. Lots of time left on this beauty.
Closing to my review:
I would absolutely purchase Merry Mistletoe from Bath & Body Works again. In fact, I’m tempted to go back for their semi-annual sale and stock up on this candle to burn it all year-round. However, I think that might take away from the magic that is Christmas and so, this will just be a candle I purchase yearly to burn at that most special time of the year. Between the pretty label, the accurate green color and amazing scent and throw of the
candle – it’s a keeper!

Strength: 5/5 – Very strong. Filled my 16 foot ceiling great room with ease. You could even smell it outside.
