First impression of Maple Cinnamon Pancakes:

Maple Cinnamon Pancakes. That’s all this bakery girl needed to read. The moment I see a pancake or waffle scent, it’s mine for the taking and this fragrance sounded too yummy to pass up.

Made with nutmeg essential oil with notes of maple syrup and fluffy buttermilk pancakes.

I could stick my nose in the wax and smell this candle all day. Cold sniff, I detected buttery cake notes (pancakes) with a light sprinkling of cinnamon. The nutmeg was there as well and added such a unique spin to this scent. I was in intrigued. Beware though… this is a candle you’ll want to nibble on so be prepared to crave something sweet and bakery while you’re burning it. That’s the danger of bakery scents isn’t it? You sometimes crave the real deal. It also indicated you have a winner too.

Okay, time to light my candle!

I lit my Maple Cinnamon Pancakes candle in my large master bedroom and came back a half hour later to the wonderful aroma of a warm bakery scent with cinnamon and what I’m guessing was the nutmeg. Did the aroma smell like pancakes? Sort of. It was definitely bakery but I wouldn’t put my nose up to the candle and say, yeah, that’s definitely pancakes. To me, this candle smelled more like pancake batter as the base along with a sprinkling of fresh ground cinnamon and nutmeg. The nutmeg I would point out was strong and blended with the cinnamon kind of threw me because I wasn’t sure what I was smelling half the time – cinnamon or something else? Whatever it was, it was very different and smelled yummy. Maple syrup? I didn’t smell a lick of sweet maple. To me, this scent was solid bakery, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Strength for Maple Cinnamon Pancakes – This candle was interesting “strength wise.” The aroma seemed subtle at first, giving a medium scent throw but it sure traveled far and beyond my bedroom. Because of that, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 10 in any size room.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. YES!! Clean burning from beginning to end.

Closing to my review:

I enjoyed Maple Cinnamon Pancakes and found it to be an interesting bakery scent with the added nutmeg component. It wasn’t exactly a classic pancakes with maple syrup sort of aroma so if that’s what you’re hoping for, I suggest you smell this candle prior to purchasing it to see if you like it. I personally loved it and would totally purchase it again. Hands down.
