What did my candle smell like?
Christmas may be over but I’m still determined to review every candle I purchased on sale in the last few months from Bath & Body Works – holiday scents and all. The sales!! Oh my goodness have they been hard to resist.
The moment I smelled Mahogany Balsam, I purchased a few. It smelled incredible and I knew my hubby would like this one as much as I did. Here is the scent description pulled from the bottom of the candle:
“Walk through the holiday woods with the aromatic fragrance of fresh green balsam, juniper berries and rich mahogany.”
Smelling this candle for the first time…. Mmm! It was masculine and fresh! It smelled like men’s cologne with hints of balsam. Loved it!! The wax was strong on cold sniff too so I had high hopes this candle would be a room filler. Time to find out.
I lit this candle in a large bedroom and it didn’t take long to start noticing the scent once lit. Within 10 minutes, the fragrance saturated every part of my bedroom, adjoining open bathroom and pretty much took over the entire upper level of my home. Very potent fragrance and boy did I love every second of it. This fragrance smelled exactly as it did when I first smelled the wax… a wonderfully smooth masculine scent with the perfect such of wintery balsam. LOVED!!!! This candle was man approved too just as I predicted… my husband loved it and let me know every day I had it burning how much he did.
Strength – one a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 10. Easy.
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned perfect. No wick issues… clean and even burn from beginning to end. A+
Closing to my review:
Oh my goodness did I love this fragrance… from beginning to end. And don’t let the Christmas label fool you either… this scent is not just for the holidays but could be burned any time of the year. It was so fresh and uplifting and super masculine. Loved it!! Definitely recommend this candle if you love fresh masculine scents.
