First impression of Luscious Lemon Vanilla:
I have to start this review off by saying (just in case you didn’t know) – Lemon scents are my all time favorite EVER on the planet. So, I am always searching endlessly for that perfect lemon. It could be fresh, it could be bakery, sweet, zesty… whatever! I’m game! Over the years, I’ve found some really great ones – some come and go, a few get discontinued for whatever reason, and some stick around. The point is, the search never ends.
When I saw Luscious Lemon Vanilla on Swan Creeks website, I of course bought one. I ordered the candle, smelled the wax and then immediately went back and ordered several drizzle melts.
Holy mackerel is this scent GOOD!! Amazing!! Spectacular!! Just based off cold sniff, it’s pretty close to perfect.

I don’t know about cookies but maybe I could smell a tinge of bakery. To me, the wax smelled like the sweetest and purest lemon cream. Sweet lemon with swirls of sweet cream. YUM!!!!!
Time to get burning and melting!
I tried the candle first and lit this beauty in a small bathroom to start out. I wanted maximum scent throw and definitely achieved that in a smaller room. Once the wick was lit, it took a good nine hours to reach a full melt pool. Yes, nine hours. This candle was super slow burning and took forever to reach a full melt pool. I left it alone though and it eventually did achieve one. The aroma I’m happy to report was present long before that and it was, well, it was subtle but perfect. Sweet lemon cream filled my bathroom with aroma. The lemon had a little bit of tartness to it but the cream really toned it down leaving behind a creamy, dreamy lemon. LOVED!! I just wish the scent throw was stronger.
Melting Luscious Lemon Vanilla Drizzle Melts:
Swan Creek’s drizzle melts are pretty large so one cube per melt session works for me. Once I had two cubes in two separate melters, it took minutes to start noticing the aroma and oh my goodness! It smelled exactly as the candle only ten times stronger. Sweet and creamy lemon filled my great room with fragrance and it was perfect. At times, I even thought it sort of smelled like Fruit Loops cereal. Just a teeny bit.
Strength – I would rate this candle a 4/10 in a medium room. 7/10 in a small room. The drizzle melts – 10 out of 10 in any size room. Definitely go for the drizzle melts if you’re after strength.
How Did My Luscious Lemon Vanilla Candle Burn?
My candle burned okay but very, very slow. It took almost a full day to reach a complete melt pool and for a good while I thought it was going to tunnel. After day one however, it burned much better. The flame stayed a decent level and it did burn evenly from then on out.
Closing To My Review:
Luscious Lemon Vanilla was definitely that… a luscious lemon that was creamy, smooth and full of lemony goodness. I’m pretty picky when it comes to my lemon scents and this one made me smile and very happy. So will I be going back for more? Absolutely! It’s on my “go-to” list when I’m craving a strong lemon cream.
Lemon lovers… give this one a try. If you go for the candle, burn it in a small room. The Drizzle Melts are great in any size room.
