Intro To My Soy Candle Review
We’re back with another review for Lone Star Candles & More with one of their great soy candles. We were tickled pink with Pomegranate Delight, so we had high hopes for our next testing candle: Lavender & Lemons. I’m a huge fan of lemon scents and love, love, love all things lemony. As I’ve recently become a fan of floral scented candles, I was very interested in how this mix of floral and citrus would work.
First Impressions of My Candle
This particular candle was a smaller size and the smallest size I had to test. It was in a 10 ounce 
faceted glass jar with a gold lid. The label was quite prominent, clearly displaying the company and scent names. You could remove the label off this jar if you wanted, but it would take a bit of effort. I don’t mind the labels on my jars, but I mention it as I know that some do.
The candle was a single wicked jar and the color of the wax was a beautiful pastel purple. I took a cold sniff and I smelled the citrusy goodness of lemons with a slight perfumey note. Looking at the scent description I found:

I would agree with the scent description as I thought I smelled both the lavender and the citrus notes, with the citrus being more prominent on cold sniff. It was delightful!
Since this was a smaller sized candle, I opted to burn it in a small bathroom first. I like to start small candles out from there and move them out into larger spaces gradually based on how they’re throwing. So…I lit this one up and left it to do its thing. I started smelling the beauty of this candle about 30 minutes in. Ohmygoodness it was divine! The lemon in this candle made it bright and clean. It did not smell like lemon cleaner – it was bright, zesty and slightly sweet. The lavender gave it an herbal vibe that was pleasantly bold and made for a good balance with the citrus notes. There were some sweet notes which I’m going to attribute to the orange essential oils, though I didn’t pick that note out individually. The whole citrus/floral mix was rocking it and doing very well in the small bathroom.
I decided to move the candle out to a medium sized bedroom and thought it did a great job there, too. The scent itself was moderately strong and the throw was fantastic – I could smell it all in the bedroom and out down the hallway. For kicks, I did try this candle in a large, open space, too, and it did still do fairly well. I could tell the candle was burning but would definitely want it in a larger size for such a big, open area.
How Did My Candle Perform?
This candle performed flawlessly – much like my first Lone Star Candles & More candle. I got a full wax melt pool with no wasted wax on the sides. The wax melt pool was a good depth and was a very pretty dark purple – so gorgeous when burning! I didn’t notice any black sooting with this candle. Just a clean, clean burn.
Closing To My Candle Review
This was another winner in my book from Lone Star Candles & More. I’m becoming a huge fan and can see myself shopping here on the regular. Lavender & Lemons was the perfect blend of citrus and floral…heavier on the citrus to my nose. If you aren’t a floral fan, don’t let the Lavender in this scare you off – this was a great blend and the lavender compliments the lemon in just the right amount.
