Lemon Kumquat Circle E Candle Review

Brand: Circle E Candles
Type: 12oz candle
Fragrance: Lemon Kumquat
Scent Strength: Light/medium
What did my Lemon Kumquat candle smell like?
Lemon Kumquat was a scent too good to pass up. Circle E offers some amazing fragrances and a company I tend to overlook sometimes, so I do plan on reviewing more of their candles down the road. I was in a mood for something sweet and citrusy and Lemon Kumquat sounded perfect.
Here is the scent description for this fragrance:
Passionate blend of tropical fruity kumquats and lemons.
Simple but accurate. Once I popped off the lid to smell the wax… sweet lemons and kumquats wafted all around me. Kumquat definitely dominated overall but it sure smelled fresh.
Time to find out how this candle performs!
Because this candle was small, I lit it in a small bathroom to start out and ended up leaving it there from start to finish. One the wick was lit, it took maybe 10 minutes before the candle reached a full melt pool and from then on our… my bathroom smelled like sweet and fresh kumquats. The lemon was pretty subtle and that was a bummer but overall, it was still a fresh and fruity scent worth purchasing again.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7 in a small room. Not very strong but great for a small area.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned decent. It was slow burning so it did take a while to reach a full melt pool with each lighting. Once it did though, it was smooth sailing.
Closing to my review:
Lemon Kumquat was a nice and fresh fruity scent and a fragrance I would absolutely purchase again. It was on the lighter side though so I’m wondering if a larger candle would be better. I may have to try that.
I don’t see this fragrance listed in Circle E’s scent list so not sure if it’s seasonal or retired. I do hope it eventually makes a comeback. I really enjoyed it.
Happy candle hunting!
