Le Petit Macaron Swan Creek Candle Review

Scent Strength: Light
First impression of Le Petit Macaron:
Le Petit Macaron… ooh la la!! The name sounded like a French pastry and I HAD to have it!
Here is the scent description from Swan Creek’s website:
A heavenly confection of raw almond, marshmallow, toasted hazelnut, coconut milk and Madagascar vanilla – sweet, creamy and smooth – ideal for any vanilla lover!
Mmm!!! Seriously – yum!! The wax was a light pink color and had a creamy/crumbly texture to it which is a clear indication of pure soy wax. The texture kind of reminds me of homemade ice cream… the kind you want to take a spoon and just dig in till it’s all gone. YUM!! The moment I popped off the lid to smell the wax, a sweet confectionery aroma greeted me. It smelled so good, I wanted to eat the candle. My nose detected marshmallow and vanilla the most with swirls of what I swear smelled like powdered sugar. I didn’t really detect almond, toasted hazelnut or coconut milk but if I do once burning, I’ll be one happy camper.
Let’s put that to the test!!
I decided to start this candle in a small bathroom to start out which ended up being a perfect choice. I wanted maximum scent throw and definitely achieved that in a small room. Once the wick was lit, it took a good hour or so to reach a full melt pool and the aroma after that was very lightly scented but pure bakery heaven. My little powder room smelled like marshmallows and cream and it was very realistic. The aroma was sweet as can be and 100% edible. I smelled marshmallows first with creamy vanilla coming in second, and again what I could swear was powdered sugar. The overall aroma smelled very fluffy and warm. I never did detect any of the other ingredients in the scent description. I wouldn’t have minded if I did, but I will say this scent was still scrumptious just as it was. The only sad part… it was very lightly scented.
Strength – I would rate this candle a 5 in a really small room. Yeah, it was pretty light. That was the only bummer. I wouldn’t even attempt trying to burn this scent in anything larger than a teeny/small room.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned very slow but great. No wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
I really liked Le Petit Macaron from Swan Creek, I just wish the fragrance would have been stronger, much-much stronger. Like, mega stronger. This is one of those scents you’ll be tempted to eat, it smelled that light and fluffy. So far, I’ve only found this scent in candle form but hoping they add it to their drizzle melt line up soon. I bet melts will give a much better scent throw. Crossing fingers they do so I can purchase a good dozen. Mmmmm!!!!
I purchased three candles and a ton of drizzle melts from Swan Creek a little while ago so stay tuned for more reviews to come. I really love this brand.
Happy candle hunting!
