Intro To My Lavender Soy Candle Review
Lavender is definitely one of my go-to scents when I’m ready to relax and rewind. It has an incredibly calming effect for me, which is one of the reasons I seek out lavender scents when I’m candle shopping. My third review for Baan Pomelo is a lavender soy candle named Zenful Day. After all the crazy hectiness lately, I was certainly up for some zen in my life!
First Impressions of My Lavender Soy Candle
This candle had the nice, sleek look I’ve come to know and love from Baan Pomelo. The black candle vessel added an air of sophistication and there was a lovely purple label on front, with the branding and scent included. The silver lid added to the look of luxury. This was a single-wick candle, 8 ounces in size. The other candle jars were opaque white in color, so this was a nice contrast.
My first whiff of this candle instantly put me in relaxation mode. The smell of French lavender immediately met my nose and was oh-so-lovely. I could tell there was a surrounding bit of green, earthy notes, too. Looking at the scent description:

I would definitely agree with that scent description. It was a beautiful mix of lavender and rosemary on cold sniff. I couldn’t wait to light it up!
I used this candle in a guest bathroom to see how it would do. Once lit, it started lightly scenting the space with that gorgeous French lavender smell. The smell of French lavender is really close to the scent of rosemary to me, so this was a beautiful marriage of the two. As the candle continued to burn, the sweet woody notes became more apparent. It was blissful!
This candle did well scenting up the space it was in. I could walk into the bathroom and tell that it was burning. It stayed within that space and was not too overwhelming, which is what you want when trying to get your zen on.
How Did This Lavender Soy Candle Perform?
I was used to the thick cotton wick on these candles by now, so I knew to keep the wick fairly short. The flame was large but manageable. I was able to get a full wax melt pool in no time, and I kept a nice, full wax melt pool throughout the burn. The candle lasted over 50 hours and there was no wasted wax. I would let this candle burn a couple of hours at a time then snuff it out to make sure my flame stayed within my comfort zone.
Closing To My Lavender Soy Candle Review
This was a great lavender soy candle, with some herbaceous and slightly sweet woody notes. It made for a great blend and was oooh-so-calming. It provided a light, pleasant aroma that lasted for hours. Very clean burning candle. If you’re looking for a lavender candle to light while soaking in the tub, this would be a good one to try.
