First impression of Key Lime Pie:
I purchased this Paula Deen candle at a Big Lots store and was so surprised how wonderful it smelled. For a mass-produced candle, it actually blew me away. The wax smelled like the creamiest and sweetest key lime and I loved it so much, I purchased a few to keep on hand. Boy am I glad I did!!
I don’t have a scent description for this candle but trust me when I say, this candle screams key lime. I smelled a creamy bakery vanilla with swirls of sugary lime. Super yummy!!!!
I loved it! Now let’s see how it performs!
I decided to stay conservative and light this candle in a small bathroom to start out and that’s where it stayed till the very end. Once the wick was lit, it took about 10 minutes to reach a full melt pool and the aroma… zip… zero… nada! Totally bummed, and I had this candle burning is a super tiny powder room. Up close though… with my nose literally on top of the candle, I could smell a wonderful and fresh key lime. It smelled good. It just wasn’t strong enough to really enjoy.
Strength – I would rate this candle a 2 out of 10 in a really tiny room. That be it.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned okay. This candle did struggle a teeny bit to reach full melt pools so a little wax was left along the glass wall, but it wasn’t too bad.
Closing to my review: 
Loved the scent itself, did not like the strength which ended up being zero. Guess you can’t win them all. I’ve had pretty good luck with this Paula Deen brand so I’m not giving up just yet.
