Island Pineapple – Colonial Candle Review

by Julia Wooten

Type: 22 ounce Oval Jar

Fragrance: Island Pineapple

Cost: $25.00

Scent Strength: Strong

Introduction to my review:

If you love summer pineapple scents as much as I do, you’d better move fast on this one. Island Pineapple has recently been spotted on the list of retiring scents at Colonial Candle The good news is that it’s currently on sale. The bad news is that it won’t be available for long.

What do my candle look like?

This candle is the largest sized classic Colonial Candle oval jar. It is double wicked and the wax is creamy yellow. The label has a tantalizing picture of a pineapple slice. (see picture above)

Island Pineapple – a flawless blend of hibiscus, gardenia, and pineapple

Nothing says summertime like the smell of sweet pineapple. This candle was a tropical treat in my house. I was glad I had the big 22 ounce jar of this because this scent was a crowd pleaser. My whole family liked the fruity sweet scent throughout the house.

Even though there were floral notes listed in the scent description, I smelled fresh cut pineapple almost entirely. I could barely detect anything else like gardenia or hibiscus. Maybe I’m just partial to pineapple, but I was wild about this scent just the way it was. Thanks to the nice big melt pool on this jar, I could smell Island Pineapple all throughout my living room. It turned my home into a tropical retreat.

Being the largest size that Colonial Candle offers, this jar took a bit longer to get that edge to edge melt pool. After an hour or so, this jar was burning brightly with a quarter inch of melt pool… just beautiful! The wicks stayed a manageable size throughout the burn.

Closing to my review…

I’m sad to see Island Pineapple on Colonial Candle’s list of retiring scents since I think it would make a wonderful sniff for summertime. Maybe there will be a replacement next season, but until then, stock up on this great fruity fragranceSad girl over isolated white background while it lasts.

Happy candle hunting!
