Introduction to my Lemon Meringue Pie candle review…
Incandessence Candle Co. is another new company I’ve recently tried for the first time. I was approached a few months ago to review a candle and of course said, “sure, I’ll try one.” So, online I went to pick out my fragrance. There were 38 fragrances that I counted on their menu, not a huge selection but decent enough.
Honestly, I’m getting burnt out on spicy/fall scents, (sorry, but there’s only so much harvest spice candles one can take, even me) so I picked a huge favorite of mine, Lemon Meringue Pie. Oh my GOSH do I love Lemon!! Since Lemon Meringue is a bakery scent, I didn’t feel guilty burning it to review and boy was it a wonderful change.
How did my Lemon Meringue Pie candle smell?
Lemon is my all time favorite scent and I mean any kind of lemon whether it be sweet, tart or anywhere in between. I just LOVE it!! Being that it’s winter, I’ve put away all my coveted summer candles and broke out all my fall/winter ones. I don’t usually mind that as I do love the spicy warm scents too but there’s just something about lemon that always seems to tickle my senses.
When I first opened the lid to smell my candle, my nose was saying, “Ahhh, sweet lemony goodness” It smelled so good to me! Although I love the smell of lemon, I confess that I’ve never actually eaten a real lemon meringue pie so I really couldn’t tell you if my candle smelled like the actual pie.
This candle smelled like sweet lemon and as Carolyn loves to say, “I was in candle heaven”. I lit my candle in the morning in my bedroom and it took about an hour before I really started to notice the fragrance. An hour seemed like a long time to me but I think it had to do with the size of the candle and the room I burned it in. My bedroom is pretty big and the fragrance still filled up the room so I’m sure a bigger candle would give a much better scent throw. This fragrance smelled like lemon with whipped sugar. I couldn’t get enough of it and wished I had this candle in every room of my house. If you like the smell of sweet lemon, you would like this fragrance.
How did my Lemon Meringue Pie candle burn?
My candle burned fine with no waste. Just keep the wicks trimmed. This candle did smoke if I didn’t keep up on the wicks. That’s pretty typical with any candle.
Closing to my review:
I did enjoy my candle and would definitely burn it again if given the opportunity. The scent throw was pretty good for an 8oz candle and I’m sure their larger ones would be even better. I can’t vouch for Incandescence’s other 37 fragrances but I can say that Lemon Meringue Pie was yummy and worthy of purchase.
I really don’t have any experience with this company other than the candle scent to me but their website looks nice and seems easy to navigate through. My candle also shipped in a timely manner and all my questions were answered very fast. If given the opportunity, I will try more candles from this company and will post more reviews. In the meantime, for those of you who have tried Incandessence Candles, please post your own reviews on the board as I’d be interested to know what you think.
Happy New Year everyone!
