First impression of Honeycrisp Apple:

Honeycrisp Apple was a fragrance I could not resist considering it’s the only kind of apple I prefer to buy these days. Have you tried a Honeycrisp Apple? Oh my goodness are they AMAZING and so sweet and crisp, it’s like biting into a dessert. And that’s exactly what they are – nature’s dessert. They’re that yummy.

Honeycrisp apples are expensive if you don’t purchase them on sale but worth every penny in my opinion. So yeah, when I saw this candle, it was mine. I had to review it.

Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:

Golden honeycrisp, apple blossom, fresh sugarcane.

First impression when I smelled the wax… sweet and fresh apple. I didn’t really detect apple blossoms but I was okay with that. As long as I smelled sweet apples with sugar, I’ll be happy because that’s what a honeycrisp tastes like…. crisp apples loaded with sweetness. Super sweet with zero tartness.

Time to light my candle!

I stuck to a large room to burn this candle in and happy to report… it performed perfect in a large room. Once the wicks were lit, it took about 15 minutes to reach a full melt pool and from then on out, crisp and fresh apples filled my bedroom.

A honeycrisp apple tastes pretty distinctive so I had really high expectations with this candle, and after a full day of burning it… I thought it was nice but not incredible. It smelled like a fresh apple, like most apple scented candles on the market do. I liked it but this fragrance didn’t have any stand out qualities that made it differ or better than all the other apple scents I’ve tried. So, although I liked it, it wasn’t a “wow” candle for me.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this fragrance an 8 in a large room. 10 in a medium and small rooms. It did give a decent and steady scent throw.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned great. No wick issues (YAY!!) and it burned clean and even from beginning to end.

Closing to my review:

Honeycrisp Apple was a nice and fresh apple but I just wish this candle would have smelled exactly as these apples taste. It didn’t. I liked it but I didn’t love it. It happens. Would I purchase it again? Maybe/probably. I suggest if you love apple fragrances and you see this candle in one of their stores, go smell one and see for yourself. You may walk away with one. 🙂
