Intro To My Candle Review
We burned and melted a LOT of pumpkin scents for our big Goose Creek pumpkin candle comparison piece. If you haven’t read that article, be sure to check it out. Meanwhile, we wanted to weigh in on our thoughts about some of these candles and wax melts individually. So yeah, we’ll be talking pumpkin for a while. First up is one of my personal favorites…Pumpkin Patch, which is a fresh pumpkin scented candle.
First Impressions of My Candle 
This was their large apothecary style jar and the wax was in a pretty orange color. The photo in front showed a fairly happy Jack-O’-Lantern, which is certainly interesting considering his fate. The company and scent name were clearly displayed on a clear label that was easily removable, should you want to do so. There were two wicks in this large jar.
I took a cold whiff and ahhhh…pumpkin joy! The scent was of that of a freshly carved pumpkin, complete with some green notes from the leaves. I was overjoyed that this wasn’t a heavy, spicy pumpkin scent, because I was just about pumpkined out on those versions.

Now, I’ll be honest. I wasn’t getting the caramel notes and the spices weren’t really pick-outable on cold sniff. Still, I wanted to warm the wax to see what we had!
I lit this candle in a medium sized bedroom and let it do its thing. It didn’t take long to start being surrounded by fresh pumpkin notes and the warm scent of cinnamon. I think after the wax started warming, I really got more of the fresh apple scent and that brightened up the room. I know green notes were listed in the description, but I declare I smelled some fresh, green leaves. It was like being in the middle of a pumpkin patch, that’s for sure!
This scent did have some of the spices noticeable after burning, but the spices were still not heavy. They were a nice compliment. A great Fall scent, but really perfect year ’round.
The scent strength was moderately strong and the throw was fantastic. I could smell this candle on out beyond the room it was in, as it’s pumpkin goodness wafted on down the hallways. Sweet!
How Did My Candle Perform?
With the two wicks, it really took no time to get a full wax melt pool. The melt pool was fairly deep and so pretty. It gave a nice, clean burn. The flames did get big at times, but good ol’ wick trimming kept them manageable. I didn’t notice any black sooting and didn’t have any on the edges of my jar. This was a slow burner, too.
Closing To My Candle Review
I really loved Pumkin Patch from Goose Creek Candles. It was a great, fresh pumpkin scented candle and one that I could burn all year long. I think it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a pumpkin scent that isn’t too weighted down with spices. I found it yummy!
