First impression of Fresh Apple:

Fresh Apple was a candle I couldn’t resist purchasing as soon as I saw it. I am obsessed with Pier 1 and always purchase at least one candle to review every time I’m in a store. They don’t offer a huge selection but what they do carry is usually unique and as always… gorgeous.

Fresh Apple was a really cute candle. The vessel was a ribbed style mason jar with a red metal screw top lid. Twine was wrapped around the neck on the candle with a metal medallion with an apple embossed in the center. Very country and I was sold the moment I saw it. Add the fresh and sweet apple scent and I was in heaven.

This fresh yet nostalgic scent is warmly reminiscent of apple picking and hayrides through an orchard. A crisp combination of ripe heirloom apples, neroli and sweet vanilla musk—all in a decorative jar that’s pretty enough to give or enjoy for yourself.

Neroli and vanilla musk? I don’t know about that but fresh apple… YES!! Apple with loads of sweet sugar.

I decided to try burning this candle in a medium sized room and it ended up moving it to a decent size bathroom where it performed much better. I wanted maximum scent throw and I definitely got it in a smaller room. Once the wick was lit, it took a good 30 minutes to reach a full melt pool and once it did… a very sweet and fresh apple scent wafted all throughout my bathroom and boy was it tart. Tart like a super sour apple. I LOVED IT!!

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 9 in a small room. 5/6 in a medium size room and I wouldn’t even try burning this in a large room… the scent would be totally lost.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned perfectly. No wick issues. Clean and even burn from beginning to end. I did have to trim the wick before each lighting but that’s totally normal.

Closing to my review:

Fresh Apple was a perfect name for this candle. It was one of the freshest and TART apples I have ever smelled. Imagine a pucker sour apple filled with sweet sugar. I loved it and plan on purchasing a few more next time I’m at Pier 1 again.
