Gail-Happy Anniversary! 43 years is a long time. Yes, Gail I am at the beach for a few days.

 

Today I a melting CCCC Flip Flops and burning YC Beach Walk. I still have LOL Honeydew n Cream going in the bedroom. That is some great and long lasting scent.

 

Dale-That must have been some scary experience. Hope you are feeling better!

 

I love the House Hunters shows too! It is interesting to see what kind of houses you can get in other parts of the country for the price you have to pay in NY.

Hello and Happy 4th of July weekend!

 

DH is my hero tonight. Somehow a nasty virus got onto my computer this morning. I was dusting the bedroom and saw all of the pop ups going nuts on my computer which had been idle for at least an hour prior. He blamed it on all of the candle porn I look at...LOL. Funny...hardy har har.... NOT!

 

Denim - I hope that you're feeling better!

 

Candlefan - We're having hot dogs tomorrow too! It was a toss up between hot dogs and shish kabobs...the hot dogs won. I love a good hot dog with great side salads.

 

Gail - Happy Anniversary!

 

Puppy - I love those exotic resorts! They all look like the Four Seasons. I was super shocked at the California woman moving to Egypt. Nothing wrong with Egypt but that looked like quite a lifestyle change for a California girl.

 

Candlelove - If we could move to Texas and buy a house there we'd be living in a mansion. OMG!

My goodness, thank you all for the anniversary congrats. You're all so sweet! Yup, 43 is a lot of years. We're not old though. We were married when we were 2 and 4. Childhood sweethearts and all that.

Melting crosscreek fruity fun for tonite- smells like candy. I love it!!

 

Have a dilemma: Well went to the malll earlier today and stop by YC and got an awesome deal on a glass tart melter with cute little boat design on it that was only $3!!! ...... But when i got home to use it, i notice a scratch on the bottom of the glass bowl where the tart would melt. Im not sure if i should go back and exchange just for that or would it be ok to use it. im afraid that when i use it will get worse and will eventualy crack and then i would have to throw it away. :roll: sad and don't know what to do.

 

Do you guys think it will be ok for me to keep it? Would like you all suggestions on what you all think i should do...

We are expecting a very hot day today and through much of the coming week too.... Time to take it easy and just enjoy the summer!!

 

SweetTart, I am thinking if it's just a scratch you should be okay using your new melter. If it's a crack, I wouldn't take the chance. However, YC is usually great about replacing defective melters, maybe they can exchange it for you.

 

Gail, I will be right over girl! [smilie=th_smiley_emoticons_flucht] I love House Hunters too. Are those :? frozen? I have two things that drive me nuts about HH....the people who complain about the paint colors (duh, just paint over it!!) and the people who complain that the appliances are not stainless steel (duh again, go buy new ones!!).

Another huge fan of house hunters here, however, the two things Aria pointed out are my pet peeves when it comes to that show. I mean, do people really expect to find a house that they don't have to do a thing to? :? I think part of buying a house is the fun of being able to put your own stamp on it, anyway.

S&S and others who have commented, thanks for the well wishes. DH and I have made more frequent trips to the shelter to see who is available, but they have a fair amount of turnover this time of year. It has already happened several times that my favorite cat there got adopted by someone else, which is great for those cats. So when we go, we just try to identify a few that we are interested in, without getting too focused on a single cat since it is still about 3 weeks away. (I am not sure how long they would be willing to hold a cat for us if we wanted to pick one out at this point.)

 

As far as smellies go, I still have not been melting/burning during my one-month stint at my friend's place, but I have been enjoying some B&B lately. The scents are nice for the hot summer when it is easy to feel sticky and not smelling so good!
