Hi There

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to say hi and it is a pleasure meet all of you.

I have been reading the forum for awhile and you all seem so nice. Like many of you, I am hopelessly addicted to tarts and candles too. My favorites so far are Crosscreek, CFTKR, Nene's, Dew Drops, Aromasoy, CHC, Northern Maine, Can-Do and Bella.....

I try to keep my tart stash at a manageable level....haha....it's hard with all the sales!

Looking forward to chatting with you all..... [smilie=th_BringItOn]

Hi Aria--I welcomed you on the other thread but welcome again. It is great to meet you. This is a wonderful group and we learn a lot from each other. We share our successes with different companies and our failures and it is a lot of fun. Will be looking forward to hearing your opinions and experiences. [smilie=th_blij81]

Welcom to the group, Aria. So glad you decided to join us. I noticed a couple of you all saying you "loved the book as a kid" about the avatar and maybe this may be a "Duh moment" for me, but what book are you all talking about?

'Duh' from me too, Jason - (hoping not knowing this book doesn't date us too badly [smilie=th_blij81]

It's a children's book called The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.

It's beautifully written with simple line drawings.

It's about all of the things that this tree gives to the boy throughout his life, and how the tree loves the boy and is happy to give until it has nothing left but a stump to sit on when the boy is an old man. "And the tree was happy"

I just happen to have that one.

Thank you all for the wonderful welcoming words!

Yes, The Giving Tree is a staple around our house..... I have two boys...ages 9 and 5. Anyone with kids should have this book....I remember it from 1st grade and that was a loooooooong time ago!

You are all too funny about the enabling thing! LOL! I can't wait! ;)

Aria - the highpoint for my son in grade school was when he got to BE the giving tree in the school play! How a little guy was able to manuever that big green cardboard tree (with a face hole cut out) I will never know. But he was jazzed!
