Giving Thanks for November's Scents

Recommended Posts

Good morning,

I'm burning off a few Yankees this morning. (Cinn-ister & Purr-Chouli) Now that Halloween is over, I'm ready to move on scentwise, and my jars have only about an inch of wax left.

I'm so ready to pull out some new candles, but these have got to go first.

I don't have any melts on yet.

Best bets yesterday:

Fresh Linen - Lathers & Lights. Very strong, not perfumey.

7Up - Lil Bear's Creations. Moderately strong, very bubbly.

Pink Cupcakes - Lathers & Lights. Yummy!

Country Bake Shoppe - Angie's. I was expecting spicy, but got more sweet. Some apples, maybe. Candy? I'm not sure, but it was very good.

I'm slowwww moving today. Need mega cups of coffee. This morning I'm starting off my Trial holiday scents with CFTKR Christmas Fantasy. The Aspen Winter gave me a headache yesterday, too much something--have a great Wednesday. [smilie=th_oregonian_mornincoffee]

Good morning! I don't have anything melting yet, because I'm too tired to get moving. Dh, the older kids, and I stayed up WAY too late last night watching all of the election stuff. I'm paying for it now. My coffee needs to kick in quickly! [smilie=th_oregonian_mornincoffee]

I hope everyone has a lovely day!

Tonight I've got going Lime Cupcakes from Angel Made Scents. Wow! This is really a good scent!

Cbgirl, Does that have a lot of cake smell? Or is it more of a lime?

Burning Hot Buns by EW and it's wonderful...very pastry, which I like. Very much like Tuscadero's Cinnamon Buns.

I noticed I get a better burn from the EW with a tealight burner. I used a 24W hotplate for the Hansel & Gretel and it burned away quick.

Good Morning... :?

Melting Candle Haven's Orange Fluff and Cherry Chip Cake... I still have some of Lessie's melts left... I will be sad when they are all gone... I hope Lessie is doing well!

I hope everyone that was up late last night gets some rest today. I went to bed at 9 o'clock last night... we had a few busy days with kid's activities... it finally caught up with me... I feel refreshed this morning! I highly recommend going to bed early once in awhile... I was lucky that I had nowhere to go last night... so I took advantage of the free time!

Momovtwo. I burn the YC without the illume-lid,only because I don't have one. I have a couple of days a week when I'm home all day by myself so that'swhen I do my burning. In the summer I don't even think about burning a candle with the a/c on it makes the flame dance too much. But this time of the year I don't have the a/c or heat going. But I have had very good luck with YC jars.

Hi everyone, nothing melting now, I'm still at work, but I'll be remelting EW Birthday Cake from last night, it was yummy, and I'll be starting YC Berry Jam in my new 24watt combo melter from Carol. Got it in the mail today, and she included a bunch of free tarts, she is the best!

Thanks LLVV, when I melt for the first time in it, I'll be thinkin of ya!

Mmdolinar - Oh no! I'm so sorry! I was the one that recommended Spooky Berry to you. Thank you for the kind offer but I have 9 more of them left. I liked the scent so much that I bought 2 bags of it. I'm really sorry that I gave you a bad recommendation.

No worries, I wanted to try it. I may have to try it just one more time because I want to like the berry in it, I just got way too much syrup smell. I'll see if its different in a different melter!

It's fun seeing what you all are melting today, with the coolness settling in for November. It's actually a pleasant day here in AZ,...great day to keep the windows/doors open. Gotta love that!

Today I'm melting Apple Blossom by Crosscreek. I also have Hyacinth chula orchid in the bedroom.

Seems like my tartburners melter isn't working correctly. It's giving off some strange odor when plugged in. It actually overpowers the scent that I put in to melt. Something just doesn't seem right, and I never noticed that before. I turned it off yesterday when I noticed that happening, and when I tried it again today, it started giving off that smell again.

I'm going to test out a Honey Gingerbread from HoT this afternoon. :)

I like the way you think, Kim.

ETA- This one is going strong now and it is so scrumptious! I need to adjust my all time favorites to include this. It's that good.

Must have more!
