Day By Day Melts in May

Recommended Posts

Good Morning

Michele...praying for your friend. The waiting is unbelievably stressful and I'm sorry. I hope the news is the better of the two!

Amy...oh no! A waxtastrophy in the hotel? Sorry to hear about that...although is definitely something I'd do! Hope is was a pretty easy cleanup.

Sharon...what is your favorite types of blends? I made a custom that I love in Spiced Pear. It's Spiced Pear, Vanilla Buttercream and Fresh Cut Grass. It sounds weird but it's lovely. I think Pear can be blended with a lot of things...other fruits...flowers...bakery. Whatcha thinking?

Finally changing the melters...

Pass the Sangria by Savannah Blue

And upstairs Lavender Fudge by Woofwix

Have a good day.

Good evening all,

Michele, continuing to pray for your friend. Cookie Monster is always a good scent.

Maggie, how was that Lavender Fudge?

Sharon, did you decide on your custom scents? I can attest that Maggie's pear blend was divine.

Well tonight it's a wonderful melt:

Super Tarts Fred & George - waffle cone, bubblegum, and Orange Julius. Very sweet and tasty!

I hope everyone has a restful night.

Hello girls [smilie=th_sml29]

Hope your friend gets good news, Michele!

Amy ~ [smilie=th_oops_] on the waxident! I’ve found razor blades are helpful in cleaning up wax spills on countertops after it’s hardened.

Sharon ~ Pear goes with lots of stuff...zucchini bread, birthday cake, sugar cookie, marshmallow, cinnamon, French toast. Mmm, I’m getting hungry. LOL

Tiffany’s Root Beer Float ~ A gift from a sweet CF friend [smilie=th_a194]

Sunny Bee Scents Butterscotch Cake Toasted Marshmallow ~ another gift Thank you! [smilie=th_slider_flirt]

TCC Marshmallow Caramel Apple Cake

[smilie=th_Hello_]

I love pear - when I can smell it! It is one of those scents that is sometimes too light for my nose.

Amy - you have had quite the luck! It is hard enough cleaning up wax spills at home, I can imagine how hard being in a hotel would be. And - nice that you got some BG good scents that you like. I can only imagine a different scenario if you clicked the wrong button. Some of the man candles scents out there would have been challenging to melt! (motor oil, bacon, etc.)

Tonight it is Melted Confections - The Dauphine. No scent list available, I am thinking maybe a lavender vanilla blend?

Oh Maggie, that blend with fresh cut grass sounds amazing, I'll have to check to see if she has that scent.

NMhoneybear, those blends sound good too.

Amy, the list is getting longer........

Hello

Amy...I must admit I ended up changing up that Lavender Fudge after a few minutes...I'm not a chocolate lover so it was not for me. I hope you got to relax today.

I haven't even changed my warmers yet and it's so late. I should loose my melting license!

Ok...I'll change to...

Pop Musik by Ramble On

Yesterday it was Peach Suntan Lotion by Swanky

Tomorrow I'm going to see The Who...looking forward to it!

Have a good night.

Maggie, that sounds like so much fun to see The Who! A little trip down memory lane... and the Peach Suntan Lotion sounds different and actually pretty good! What did you think? [smilie=th_235F35F32]

I hope you all have fun plans for the long weekend. I will be gardening if the weather cooperates. ^_^

It is time for YC SAS - time for new accessories! ;)

Tonight it is VCS - Bettie Page. (If I remember it has some Satsuma and VBN in it...)

Good morning all!

Well DH and I slept 11 hours last night, lol. I caught up on some annual checkups yesterday and then we went to a retirement party for a musician friend of ours who taught elementary school for 31 years. Her partner, another excellent musician, restores tiny cars as his hobby, and for her big day, he restored a 1971 VW Beetle. He presented it to her at the party and she had no clue this was coming - wonderful to witness. An interesting tidbit there is that she is almost 20 years his senior, and they have been together for around 5 years. They are an unusual, delightful couple.

There are so many wax sales this weekend.... Last night I went from vendor to vendor and filled up a cart at every one. And I left them all there. I hope I got that out of my system. I will order something next weekend when Southbound restocks her summer scents... American Smoothie.... Stars & Stripes....ohhhhhh.

Honeybear, you're right, the razor blade trick works well for waxidents! I also like the hair dryer approach... Just melt and wipe up. Happily I didn't spill anything on towels or carpeting!

Maggie, I am so envious, you're going to see The Who?!?! Oh sounds fabulous. Take your earplugs!!

Debra, new Yankee accessories! Share, share! And I didn't know there was a motor oil candle for the guys... My DH likes bacon scent so I guess anything goes!

Sharon, how is the customs list coming along?

Susan, I looked up your Scentsy Sugar bar - lemon and cotton candy, that would work for me!

So yesterday it was:

VCS Cheshire's Grin - lavender, birthday cake, cotton candy, marshmallow. This was a big heart and I divided it between three melters across the house. Although it was a gorgeous scent, it was very light.

And today so far it's:

L3 Frostbite - peppermint and berries - gorgeous. A scoop so very very strong.

And in the kitchen:

Dessa's Bakery on Main - a giftie from the excellent Disney Sampler, THANK YOU sweet friend! - and this is luscious and making me hungry.

Speaking of samplers, for those of you who ordered the Vintage Road coffee sampler - you know who you are - whatja think?? I am completely captivated by the darling little coffee bean melts. ????

I hope everyone will have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. ❤️

Good Morning! Did a little straightening up...now sitting with my coffee outside. [smilie=th_oregonian_mornincoffe It's a beautiful day and the birds are very talkative today. I can hear all the cheering at the kids soccer games at the park...so many games being played this weekend.

Amy...yay! 11 hours? You needed some sleep! [smilie=thzzz003] I hope everything comes out A-ok with your checkups! It sounds like you had a lovely evening last night. It's funny...my music teachers had a great impact on my life and I don't even play an instrument anymore. I remember Mr Corder from my early years and later on Mrs Schroeder...she was there to mourn with me the morning John Lennon died. A tough day even for a young girl.

Debra...I like the Peach Suntan Lotion a lot...I just wish it was a bit stronger. The little tin pies I bought last year don't seem as strong as all of my other orders. :(

Michele...I hope your friend has heard some good news.

I was bombarded by sales as well but only placed one order with L3. Needed to try those famous scoops! Lol I have broken into my latest customs...I just couldn't wait.

It's Sweet Pucker aka Sweet and Sour by OPT....I am [smilie=cloud_9]

Have a nice one! ;)

[smilie=th_Hello_]

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Maggie ~ I peeked at the L3 scoops yesterday. [smilie=th_paper-bag] Trying to stay away.

We’re taking it easy. DH has been having back pain the past few days, so I’ve been encouraging him to think about what’s bothering him psychologically. Though it has lessened somewhat, it’s not going away. This morning as I kept telling him to focus on what’s going on... work deadlines, pressure, long hours...we figured out exactly why he needed a distraction from his emotions. As soon as I reminded him about how he had just found out a coworker from back in New Mexico passed away last weekend, a man who was a father figure, his reaction spoke volumes. Then his unresolved issues with his own father who passed away many years ago from suicide got triggered. No wonder he needs a physical distraction!

I’m certain if he will allow himself to really feel his feelings, the pain will go away.

SGA Coconut Cream, SSA, Sweet Lavender, Sunset on the Beach, and Beach Blanket Bingo ~ From a sweet CF friend [smilie=thank_you]

Excited for DD#1 to come tomorrow for a few days.

Glad your friend heard good news, Michele!

Greetings all!

So good to be home and getting some rest.

Michele, I'm so very glad your friend had good news!! What a relief!

Maggie, I hope you had a wonderful time at The Who concert! Details please. I'm glad your CYO scents at OPT have turned out beautifully - was there any doubt? ???? And you are so right - my music teachers greatly impacted my life in all sorts of ways. As for the day John Lennon died - so painful and senseless. I'm glad your teacher was there to comfort you.

Honeybear, I hope your DH feels better soon. I'm so happy your DD#1 will be home today, celebration!

Mpfand, you're so right - age is just a number. Doesn't it seem as though there are very young people with so much wisdom? -- and yet I can think of at least one older colleague who still behaves as though he's in the seventh grade. ???? Time spent here on Earth does not seem to be the determining factor. I hope you are doing well!

Debra, I have also been strong with the sales - only one lonely little scoop picked up yesterday at the L3 sale. To be honest, it would have been five, but the others fell out of my cart before I checked out. Someone is watching out for me. ????

Sharon, did you decide on your customs? *inquiring minds*

Susan, will you get a day off for the holiday?

Well, last night it was:

Dessa's Churro Cart - a gift from a dear CF pal - utterly delicious and I'm happy to say I can enjoy cinnamon again. My nose just needed a few months off. One little heart filled the house.

And this morning I am all blissed out by:

Southbound Marshmallow Bunnies - this one needs a good cure and it's been cooling its heels for four months - perfection - marshmallow creme and Rice Krispies - why I love this so much, I'm not sure, but bliss. Just bliss. ????

Have a peaceful Sunday!

Morning all,

Amy, Custom list is coming along great. I'm not up until last week of June so I still have time. How it works is you go on a list and she does about 10 people's orders per week. It's a looong list, she's popular. I ordered about 6 months ago and 6 months prior to that.

Here's my list so far, subject to change of course lol. Then I'll decide what formats to have them in, Pies, bag of shapes or pot shots etc.

Lavender, Pink Sugar, Vanilla Bean

Coconut Milk and Lavender

Aussie Shampoo

Coconut Milk and Pear and Marshmallow

Bear Claws?????

Jasmine, Blackberry and Vanilla (Falling in love dupe)

1000 wishes

Cotton Candy, Marshmallow and Pink Sugar

Pear, Fresh Cut Grass and Vanilla (thank you Maggie for that one)

Pear and Coconut Milk

Hope you all have a lovely day

Greetings all!!

Maggie - I'm glad the concert was a big success! Amazing that Roger still has a strong voice at 75. ????????

Debra, today I have a holiday, but tonight must head back out. I think this will continue for awhile... hoping for a week at home once in awhile. Your chai scent sounds lovely.

Well last night I switched out the melts to:

L3 Bamboo Rainstorm Sea Grass, in large Bundt form, and I adore this one. Extremely strong, beautiful fresh scent. *Cough* I had to turn it off overnight. I probably could use much less at a time.

And this morning it's:

VCS Love Actually - a bag of tiny little bows, so pretty - and while I can't find any scent notes, I think this one is kind of a creamy plum. Very strong, hurrah! filling the kitchen.

I hope everyone will have a beautiful Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day!

Sorry you have to fly out tonight Amy. Hope the week goes quickly.

Strange here. Hoping it’s just th3 air flow but the last 2 SGA Breakaway Brittles had no throw. Yesterday was Pink Sandy Beach (think that’s the name) and today was Dumbo Snacks. I couldn’t smell a thing. The AC is on and also have a ceiling fan going in a large open area. Nothing.

Just lit me candles from yesterday-

BBW Copper Coconut

YC Pink Sands

Goose Creek Island Sands

The room is filling with scent already.

Enjoy the day all!!

Michele, thank you for sharing that about the breakaway bars. I was going to start melting mine but now I will let them keep curing. Also you're right about the air currents from the A/C - I'm noticing some scents whisking away. SGA usually seems so strong so let's hope this is temporary.

It's in the eighties in Ohio, too hot to order, boohoo! ????
