Hi, I'm new!

Recommended Posts

It's nice to find an entire site devoted to candles! I've been a perfume fanatic for about eight years, but just recently got interested in scented candles. I think the gateway drug was buying two candles from Pier 1's "higher-end" line, in Bombay Saffron and Tibetan Ginger. I had always thought that candles tended to smell like air-freshener so I just bought these to have something nice for the bathrooms, but they both ended up smelling so good that I wanted more and started researching candles online. Now I have little stacks of candle tins and boxes in various rooms ...

I like woods, spices, and complex scents. I really don't like "foody" or too sweet smells. I put a lot of effort into bargain hunting, because good candles are expensive!!! Not unlike good perfumes, actually. I need to find some cheaper things to get obsessed with, I think.

Hi Thalia! [smilie=th_yeahthat] That sounds soooo familiar.....many of us do, too! [smilie=th_pardon] Some candles can be crazy expensive, but there are lots to try that aren't. Have U tried wax tarts yet? [smilie=th_c032] Glad you've joined us - [smilie=th_smilies_welcome]
