Hi everyone -- I'm new! :) I'm April, just turned 26, and I live near Chicago, but am originally from SW Virginia (and I go there several times a year for extended stays -- it's kind of like living in two places).

 

I'm glad I found this forum -- I'm a self-proclaimed tart junkie and have been for a few years now.(I used to burn candles more, but with two cats that behave worse than toddlers, I needed something that was less of a fire hazard. They climb everything lol.) I'm definitely into tropical scents for summer, bakery/apple scents for fall and winter, and fresh scents for spring, although due to having worked in retail for 6 years, my "season" starts way early. (Why yes, I was melting apple cinnamon tarts at the beginning of August...) I'm not hot on florals (I think I only own two "floral" scents, and they aren't overly floral), and I'll definitely pass on the pine/spruce scents.

 

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hi -- I'm glad to be here!

April! I've got cats, too, so I know what U mean...very hard to find a place they won't jump on! The only place that I can burn candles is on my fireplace mantel, but only if I have other seasonal deco's on it to totally block them from getting on it. Glad you've joined us!

I'm pretty new here too and I think you'll like it here! I've learned so much about new vendors to try and lots of other tips and tricks.

 

I feel you with the cat thing. For whatever reason, the top of my metal bookshelf is the only safe burn spot in the house from my terror of a cat. He jumps up on and slides across the coffee table for sport.
