  1. U - Use up all of my wax and forget to reorder. Never!!!
  2. Hi All! I have the day off from this and trying to make the best of it. I was out working in the yard at 6:30am. Now I'm in the middle of removing a wallpaper border in the master bathroom. Hope to start painting the bathroom over the weekend. I'm enjoying Nene's Baklava.
  3. Hi Mer! I like Spotted Hog too. I'm waiting for a large order to arrive as well. Glad you joined us.
  4. I love reading about the many fall scents everyone is enjoying. This evening I've been melting Carol's Spiced Apple Pecan. A fabulous comfort scent.
  5. I've been on my computer in the MBR catching up on emails while melting Carol's Coffee Cake & Spice. Mmmm good! I'm also melting Apple Orchard Pear’adise from Gold Canyon in the FR. A nice fall scent, but it appears they have discontinued it. :(
  6. I love Nene's Cinnamon Vanilla. I always buy it in bulk. Hope you like it.
  7. Maurie - Very sorry for your loss. Gail - Sorry your weekend didn't turn out as planned. I too have had problems with posting and changing my avatar. It is good to know it isn't just me or my computer. This evening I'm burning GC - Caramel Apple and just loving it! :D
  8. Trep - I was also curious about Homemade Cookies. Thank you! This afternoon I'm melting Carol's Blackberry Jam Butter Cookie. :D
  9. Jules - Carol's Bonnie Blue Cookie is a combination of blueberries and a sugar or possibly butter cookie. A very nice, refreshing scent. It was strong at first, but after an hour it became somewhat light. It would do quite well in a room that isn't too large or the kitchen. This evening I'm melting CFTKR - Butter Drop Cookies. Definitely smells like butter cookies. A nice comfort scent. Good throw. Goodnight all. :)
  10. Sweet - The holder w/the seasonal picks was there and it was very nice. It is not flimsy, but rather substantial in weight. Not too heavy though. Definitely good quality. I really liked the autumn leaves candlewrap. Matter of fact I called my demonstrator earlier today and asked her to order it for me. Jules - I'm also waiting until next weekend to put out my Halloween decorations. It is a lot of fun to decorate this time of year and I love the anticipation as well. This afternoon I'm melting CFTKR - Bonnie Blue Cookies. Sooo good! :D
  11. Sweet&Spicey - The Gold Canyon open house was so much fun! Brown Sugar Spookie is a new scent in an adorable Halloween jar that I just had to order. She didn't have the candle on hand but I sniffed her tester and I loved it. I also bought(cash and carry) Sugar Cookie (Bella), Mulled Cider (Bella) and Spruce&Citrus (Heritage) all in the large size. Mulled Cider and Spruce&Citrus are new purchases for me. I am crazy about the cold sniff on both of those. Spruce & Citrus is probably my favorite. I told Barbita about the open house and we went together. There was a lot of sniffing going on, that is for sure. Happy melting/burning everyone! Just got back from my youngest DS's soccer game so I haven't started melting or burning anything yet.
  12. Good Morning! Thank you all for wishing me well on my newest teaching assignment. Sweet&Spicey - I’m not a fully credentialed teacher, so I can’t teach this class for the full academic year. The school was denied funds for a fully credentialed teacher so they are making due until the funds come in. I had worked at this school full-time for the past two years teaching intervention which is designed to help at-risk students. My credential allowed me to do that since different students were rotating in and out of my classroom every 30 – 90 days. The district eliminated that position this year due to budget cuts. I left a career in healthcare management 10 yrs ago when my boys were 13, 10 and 6 yrs of age. At that time I started substitute teaching so I could work part-time, allowing me more time with my family. I began accepting full-time assignments here and there when my oldest son entered college in order to help with college expenses. Enough about work! I’m excited about doing my fall decorating this weekend. I’m really in the mood to welcome in autumn and even 90 degree temps won’t stop me! In addition I’m going to a Gold Canyon Open House this morning at the home of the demonstrator I order my candles from. Should be fun! Enjoying my morning tea and melting Nene’s Cinnamon Roll.
  13. I probably have way too many jar candles. Over 20 some, but I do enjoy them and they last a very long time. The person below me loves the music from the 60s.
  14. R - Risk life and limb snowboarding down Mount Everest.
  15. Twinsmom - I dig out the wax in my Village Candles and put the wax in my 24 watt melter. I get a good throw that way. Burning nor melting the entire jar worked for any of my scents. I have Lemon Pound Cake, Maine Blueberries, and Fresh Strawberries. I like all three, with Fresh Strawberries being my favorite. I'm surprisingly back to work full-time. Last week I was asked to teach a newly created 2nd/3rd grade combo class until mid-December, when a permanent teacher will be hired. This is a difficult class of 25 students who are at-risk. It will be hard work, but it should also be rewarding. Tonight I've been melting Nene's - Vanilla Sugared Shortbread. Yummy! :D
  16. F - Fly through the air with the greatest of ease.
