Laurie, it sounds like we ordered around the same time, but I have had no problems with mine. A while ago I melted a couple that didn't last very long, but most of them are fine and the throws are good. Right up there with what I get from most other vendors. But I know you're not the only one to experience sub-par CYS melts. I feel lucky that mine have performed well.

I've never seen Desperate Housewives, but I did enjoy the Survivor finale and will miss the show for a while until it's on again in the fall. Kinda crazy that it has been going for so many years/seasons. I'm melting CYS Love is Like a Red, Red Rose. I have lots of these CYS ones from last spring because I ordered a bunch when it was our last chance to order singles. According to my order timeline, I need to be melting that batch plus some LSC and Can-Do these days.

TGIF! I'm melting Nene's Baklava. My previous scents had fizzled out quickly and were virtually scentless by this morning, so it was definitely time to do a switch. What a yummy one this is!

To all who were wondering about the violet cupcake, it was delicious. The effect was similar to any food you might have had (especially confections) with a floral flavor to it, like lavender ice cream or something like that. It just tasted like you might imagine a blueish-purpleish flower would taste, but the effect was very subtle. Like 90% cupcake, 10% violet or something like that. There were a couple candied violet petals on top that I crunched down, and those had a more intense flavor. Anyway, the reason this flavor was offered is because this particular cupcake place does a rotating menu of weekly flavors and the assortment is always themed (for example, boozy flavors, seasonal flavors, candy bar flavors, etc). This week is floral/herbal so they also had rosemary lemon (trying that one later today!), peach basil, and chocolate lavender. Today I'm melting CYS Party in Pink. It's nice but I only get a whiff of it once in a while.

Hi everybody. DH took a day off from work and we explored a nearby city today. We ended up with some cupcakes from a local bakery there, and a couple of them are violet flavored! So in honor of the violet cupcakes, I am melting CYS Violet Marshmallow Cream. Looking forward to trying them!

I'm melting CYS Cuddle, a great bakery scent with a little fruit in it. Like orange chiffon cake but with some coconut. Right up my alley!

Hi all. DH and I have been kind of frazzled today because we are having our carpets cleaned tomorrow and we've been cleaning and moving furniture. I'm melting SM Lemon Biscotti (thanks friend!) and SH Goddess Pomegranate.

When the technician gave the computer back to me and reported on its condition, he said it smelled good and asked what I had spilled on it. I played dumb (no spills here), but YOU guys know why my laptop smelled good! hahahahaha

Hi all. I am melting CYS Lemon Buttercream Sables today. Recently DH and I put together a massive shelving unit and I moved my tart collection to a new location. They used to be in two deep drawers (I posted this as storage p0rn once) and now they are in one really big wicker drawer. Both locations are cube shelving, but the second is from Ikea and dwarfs the first, which is from Target. That's why two drawers can suddenly fit into one. I have a divider in the middle to separate bakery from fruity, and floral/clean is stored in a big glass jar in the same shelving unit. Having most of my melts in one drawer makes me even more motivated to melt through some of my stash. Combined with upcoming summer weather and an interest in buying some new board games, I am having no trouble resisting wax purchases these days. (My recent hefty stock-up at LOL helps get me ready for summer, too.) I'll have to make the most of it before the tides turn, as they surely will someday. (If Crosscreek had a sale, I would probably cave.)

This morning DH and I were talking about making whole fruit margaritas and it got me in the mood for citrus, so I'm melting LSC Grapefruit & Mangosteen.

DH made blueberry muffins this morning, so I'm melting Can-Do Lessie's Blueberries & Cream. A great, true blueberry sniff.

Hi everybody. I'm having guests over this afternoon, so no melting except for SH Iris & Fern in the bedroom. This has taken on kind of a burnt-smelling undertone, so I turned it off. Won't be doing any waxies until the evening...such a shame.

Nancy, I'm so glad to hear that your dad is doing better! I'm melting SH Pink Lime today. A few years ago I bought a whole pound of this, and since I thrive on variety, it's taking me forever to use it up. Several of you have probably received a scallop of this from me in the past, haha. It's actually a great scent, very underrated...the bag just never ends. This will not be a problem with Orange Chiffon Cake, though, which I also have a huge bag of!

Hi everybody. DH and I agree that our weekend was really atypical and felt kind of weird. Probably because putting together our shelves was such a huge task yesterday. I'm melting LSC Jack Frost (DH made something stinky for dinner and this is helping) and SH Cinnamon Sugar Donuts.

DH and I put together a massive shelving unit from IKEA today -- it was stressful but we got it done and it looks GREAT now. I can't believe this isn't even the biggest size they make. I'm melting Can-Do Lemon Pound Cake in the living room and SH Froot Loop Cupcakes in the spare bedroom where the shelving unit went. The scents have been blending nicely.

I'm melting Can-Do Cast Iron Cookies (nice concept but the execution isn't grabbing me) and just finished cutting some 2 oz tart cups in half. I'll probably just keep the cutting board out in anticipation of my LOL order's future arrival.

Shortygal, at least she (he?) isn't doing this! Huzzah! I was so excited to read this yesterday, and then I got mine today! Looking forward to this one, especially since I have recently found other things to spend my "fun money" on besides wax. But that is just as well, seeing as I can just motor through my stash!
