  1. Black Cherry from Dreamtarts. Cherry is hit or miss with me as sometimes it gets a little to Amaretto-ish. This one does not, it is a good one!
  2. I have been also cleaning out my stash - and I found a couple samples that I was sent that simply say "sample" - no company or scent. I have not idea how long I have had them. : ( I have one going right now that is a very odd combination of ?amber and floral. I am curious to see what the other will be like.
  3. Burning YC Gourmet Vanilla in the office, Dreamtarts Exotic Teak in the Bedroom. (Smells alot like the Gain fragrances to me.) Mom - thanks for the description. I may have to try it - I love unusual names. I am awaiting my 1st LOL order, sent yesterday. And, I know what you mean about the tea light burners. I always try the others but ultimately come back to these.
  4. Mornin'! Mom - I have not smelled the undies - I'd have no idea what to expect?!! How is it? I am trying to decide between Aroma Naturals Peace, and La Tee Dah's Monogrammed Linens. Both are in tins and have been sitting on the shelf since I found the hot sale on them about 3 months ago. (11.50 reg, on sale for 3.99).
  5. I pulled out an old one, Hawaiian Breezes, a chunky pillar from Contemporary Candles. Mild throw - but with the two tone blue chunks it is nice to look at! ( I am so spoiled by the tart's throw it sure makes it hard to be happy with candles!)
  6. Good morning! I am melting 1/4 of a large tart from Bella - red velvet cake. Even this small amount is strong!
  7. I have been home for the afternoon so I have been melting like a mad woman. I have Woodland Cabin from Angel Scented Candles in the living room, Home Sweet Home from Buckeye in the master bath, Black Pearl oil from ScentSation in the bedroom. All have moderate throw so I don't have to worry about them clashing with each other.
  8. Olive, I saw those and did not realize that the outside remained and the center was the candle. That is much better - I couldn't imagine how bad that would look with those "cookies" melted up against the glass. (I should have looked under the lid. eh?) Tonight's flavor probably will be an older tart I found in my collection...stockpile? It is called Rainy Night in Georgia by Colours and Scents. I have no idea what to expect!
  9. Olive - is that the gel candle with the glitter? If so, I thought those were very unusual and very pretty! I am finishing Dreamtarts Raspberry Chocolate Drizzle. It keeps going, and going!
  10. I am finishing the Dreamtarts Christmas Trees and have Aroma Naturals Chai Tea in the line up for later. Happy New Year!
  11. Hi Cat - is that the one I also ordered? Did you use straight oil or did you mix it with water? (That does sound like a wimpy bulb).
  12. Once again I purchased a candle from Pier 1 because I loved the cold throw...you think I would learn that everytime I do this I am diappointed with the throw once it is lit! So, I used it in my mosaic candle holder for a few days as all I need there is the light inside. I was about to throw out the little nub and decided to see what would happen in a melter with a tea light. Way better! That small piece of Asian Spice candle as a tart has enough throw to cover the bathroom.. Not a lot, but certainly more than as its life as a candle!
  13. I am burning Pacifica's Pacific Red Ginger this evening.
  14. Yep, Cat - I got the last one! She told me that "someone posted about them and they have flown off the shelf - after just sitting there for quite awhile! Hhhmmm...what power we candle ladies have! LOL! I also got very fast service, (but I had a Paypal snaffu so we had to chat). Tonight is a very new tart for me. I have a sample of Luxe's Figi Island, a soy tart that is very tropical. So far I really like it! Not very wintery, but I couldn't wait to try it!
  15. Today is Winter Garden from Backroad Hobbies. Oh - Cat! I spoke to Joan at Scentral Station...since you posted about her plug-in oil warmers, she sold all 7 she had in stock! She is getting a new style in soon. She was a kick - I am anxious to try her oils! Thanks again for the tip.
  16. Oh Cat - those are so cute! I think I need one, too! My son got me Satsuma oil/ BBW and this would be a great way to burn it. Today is a Dreamtarts Cinnamon, Nutmeg, and Clove.
  17. Hi Trep! I jumped passed the candles and went right into tarts because I get bored with scents easily, and I did not know where to store all the half-burned candles I would have! Now I am back tracking a bit and buying candles of the scents I have tried in the tarts if I really, really like the fragrance. Today is use up all the Christmas tarts and eat all the cookies day! : ) I have a little bit of everything melting all over the house, with YC sugar cookie being my favorite for now!
  18. YC Sparkling Pine, a big jar to get through, so I better keep burning!
  19. Boogie - yes, it is and it was lasting and lasting! I burned it for 10-12 hours (1 square) and probably could have put it in a smaller room and kept it going, but like you said: Time's awaistin' - lots of Christmas scents to burn through! Today is something new: Orange Gingerbread from Candle Dippers...this is a sample so I looked at the site - anyone order yet? Fun names I may need to try: Purple Haze, Seminole Winds, etc!
  20. Mom - looks like lots of us are swapping scents all day! I got home tonight and have Aunt Becky's Christmas Cabin in the dining room (cinnamon and orange, mainly) Crabtree and Evelyn Winterborne simmering in the living room, and have already dumped out Rosegirls Old-fashioned Christmas and am trying to decide if I want to burn my Aroma Natuals "Peace" in the bedroom...more cinnamon and orange with cloves. ( Sometime I am a hoarder though - the candles are so pretty I hate to burn them. My husband thinks it is an odd hobby - collecting candles and not burning them! LOL!)
  21. I am in an office today where I can't use melty things, and with this addiction I had to do something - so I brought my Blueberry Muffin room spray by Angie's. It is divine!!! And it lasts in the air for quite awhile! Question- they were out of the twisted peppermint when I went to check it out...is it just a mint scent?
  22. Dreamtarts agai, Blue Christmas. Boy, it is a strong one too! Boogie, when I ordered awhile back, I ordered the Pink Sugar and she emailed and said she did not think it was a true sent, that I should try a sample first. Guess she was right, huh?
  23. This is my maiden voyage with Dreamtarts...melting Christmas Trees - quite a throw! Had to "turn it off" for a bit as the room I am in is quite small.
  24. I melt tarts in my office at work (our windows do not open and it gets a bit stuffy and musty at times) in my warmer. Then I really have problems - no one likes the same scents! I have learned to melt ones that have small throws! LOL! We have the banana fans in the back office, vanilla down the hall, and caramel at the reception area. A couple of us like citrus... seems like someone, somewhere is thinking our tarts are stinky! Todays flavor; Backroad Hobbies Country Christmas. (No complaints so far!)
  25. Oh Boogie - I have to tell you! My husband kept blowing out the tea light on a melt he did not like, I kept lighting it thinking it was a defective tealight! So, no more Oaky ones when he is home! : ) Burning Root Ginger Patchouli...small throw but that is probably OK for these sents!
