  1. Well, here are some more connections...I met my husband also via the internet , work in the medical field, AND we have a yellow lab. 7 years old, Bonnie. (Or "the Bonster" as she prefers to be known.) She likes to spend lots of time at our doggie day care and dog park. And with all her energy we are glad she does! [smilie=th_Animated20Dogs20waving]
  2. YAY Boogie and Trep! A snow day! I'd love one of those right now. We just have fog. Lots of freezing fog. It is hard to wake up and get going...so I need a perky scent. Today will be Buckeye's Lemon Lime.
  3. Finishing off the evening with Bella's chocolate mint.
  4. It is an YC day! I have Clementine (tangerine) melting.
  5. I am ending the day with another "mystery melt" from Victoria. A tan heart...very strong cinnamon smell, so it could be one of several baking scents!
  6. I think my 2nd favorite hobby is reading cookbooks! Hard to say if I have more melty things or cookbooky things!
  7. Melted Tumbleweed from Candles by Victoria in the MBR - time for the bubble bath!
  8. I am interested, too Cat...what a great name for a candle! I have her Orange marshmellow waiting to burn, trying the blackberry vanilla melts first. They have been a moderate throw, using 1 cube.
  9. Back to work...need something subtle! Buckeye's rustic woodlands should not get too many complaints! :(
  10. I like the bakery scents the least...except the fall types (apple, pumpkin), those I like. I usually head to the woodsy/clean/fruity first.
  11. fleur - warning! The emoticons are addictive, too! :( This is my first tart from Candles by Victoria. Whooie - it is strong! Dewberry, I think I need to put it out for a bit. They are small, so I used 2. Won't make that mistake again!
  12. cat - my husband called and said my lol order is here also! Later tonight I will check it out. I am glad to hear you are happy so far! :(

OH cyn, did you see that they have a mystery box??? I am such a sucker for those. $40ish worth for $17. Better sleep on it!
  14. I'd like to say welcome, too, Jason. My sons both are candle burners - and get a lot of grief from their friends for it!
  15. WOw - that would be great. I usually take an old knee-hi nylon (clean!) and put the bomb in it. Little tip they taught me at LUSH.
  16. Well, I have pulled out the effusion lamp...I had a sick kitty last night and P-U! Hopefully the odor eliminating properties from these lamps will help in a hurry. (Yes, that is her to the left!) Using LaTeeDah's Stay Awhile lamp oil.
  17. I really like LUSH also, but I have a habit of buying the ones that have petals and seeds in them...and forgetting to 'wrap' them before I put them in the tub. I get out and feel like I have been bathing in a forest stream with all the stuff stuck to me! And sometime glitter ends up in the oddest places!
  18. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love bombs but I am not willing to pay $6 to take a bath! These are very reasonable. How is the scent once they are in the tub?
  19. woohoo! This is a nice forum! I was offline since yesterday afternoon, (somebody has to get the work done! LOL!) and what a surprise! I am melting an oldie - Lighthouse Candles sandalwood.
  20. oooh - lavendar cream! That sounds wonderful. I am becoming obsessed with anything lavendar. I used to think only old grandma's liked it! Almost every Aroma Natural candle I sniff and like has lavendar listed in the fragrance blend. Today is YC vanilla oak in the melter.
  21. mp - I love the YC sun and sand. I didn't think I liked it after I bought it, but I kept opening the top and sniffing it when I walked by (way too often!) and I finally had to admit that I liked it after all. Today was Beanpods lavendar and eucalyptus beads - very intense. Tonight I opened my order from Sheba's Secrets - amazing TAT!!!!!. I ordered 1/6. I am melting the blackberry vanilla and it is quite nice, my husband senses mainly vanilla so it is not too overwhelming with berry. The cold throw on Holly Berries is so good I can hardly wait. I will have to pretend the red makes it a Valentine scent!
  22. Hi Shannon, I am so glad also that you are no longer lurking! I also am an Oregonian and was quite lonely reading everyone talking about the rest of the country! LOL! I just moved from Beaverton to Hillsboro. Have you ever gone to the Pacifica outlet? They had a wonderfull booboo sale in NW PDX that I missed a year or so ago. Hope you stick with us!
  23. Gosh, trep, that sounds scary! And, like Boogie, I really get cranky when I start off with a reaction to my melt...my scent headaches are awful! Today is Aroma Soy Orchid Rain. Just a half, though, until I see the effects! LOL!
  24. trep - the wall burners are best for mini tarts and soy. They often do not melt the hard tarts.
  25. I have changed tarts to an unknown, unlabeled, tan and heart shaped tart... and if has very little scent! I wonder what it is, lol! Trep - the black cherry I have is a sample, but was being melted on a plug-in wall melter with a bulb,(have you seen those? Not the flat plate kind,) and it filled the large bathroom. It reminds me of cherries in pies opposed to cough syrup or to the amaretto cherry which makes me gaggy! I would order it again.
