I'm glad that he seems to like the aide well enough so you can get at least some relief. 
I took a late walk today and it was so gorgeous outside. I am way behind on YouTube videos but somehow I think life will go on until i get them done.
DH bought a beautiful white cake with white icing, spring flowers, and sweet sentiment written on top
from the same bakery where we got our wedding cake. So he was very sweet and I am postponing his boat reservation, for now. 
I am melting Camu Camu from Scentsy, which is a gorgeous fruity scent from a fruit I know nothing about, but this must remain in my life, very luscious and strong without being too sweet.

This is the best setup imaginable for you and your father. I'm so glad you found someone you are comfortable with. You must be utterly exhausted after the past months. I'm so very happy for you. There is a special place in heaven for YOU, my friend. What a faithful daughter you are...but you can't go it alone forever and I'm so very glad for this aide.
You're right - that takes somebody special to move into a stranger's house - everything totally unfamiliar - and to take care of them full time. I couldn't do it. I know that you have done everything to make it comfortable and welcoming for her.
Still, that is daunting to think of taking on a job like that. I hope they will get on - it won't be perfect, nothing is, but hopefully it will be sufficient to provide excellent care and allow you to get back to your own family, job, and myriad of responsibilities. I don't know how you have been doing this for so long.
And - you are MELTING?! Oh how wonderful! We take it for granted, that we can do this everyday - until we can't. Your scent sounds amazing - raspberry, lilac and lavender - I don't think I've ever had anything like that and it sounds so beautiful. Enjoy, enjoy!!
For me I'm finally through all the Scentsy Spring/Summer testers - it took me awhile and I can say I've enjoyed almost all of them. One exception would be the one I just ended - Mad for Melon - which is honeydew, freesia and poppy. The floral is heavy and off-putting to me and just doesn't seem to go with the melon. I love florals but this is just not my preference at all.
I'm so happy for you, Mag. It really made my day to read this. Big big hug and I hope you can relax a little bit now and enjoy life.

Hi everyone,
Michele, it's also overcast here.. We just had a big crashing thunderstorm but it seems to be calming down now. No walk for me today since there has been lightning.
DH's car is in the shop so today he has my Jeep with all the Scentsy labeling on it.
I told him to be ready to hand out catalogs if someone asks. 
He said, oh I forgot - I'm in the Scentsymobile. 
Today it's:
Scentsy Coastal Sunset - coconut, sandalwood, and Amber - not my usual type at all but I actually think this is beautiful. Very creamy and luxurious. I think this is a dupe for a WoodWick candle.
Scentsy Lavender Cotton - I like this more than I thought I would... Often cotton has a chlorine note to me that I'm not a fan of, but this is not so sharp and the lavender is comforting.
Still going in the living room -
Yankee Candle Easy Melt Cup in Easter Bouquet - This is so fresh and green with its beautiful white florals - on Day 3 and still lovely, finally losing its potency. I had a big waxident with this the other night but scraped it up and put it back in the warmer.

Rain and more rain here. Getting ready for the cicadas to start emerging.
Still on my Yankee Candle Easy Melt Cup of Easter Bouquet. Lovely sweet floral. I had a little waxident with it last night, butterfingers that I was. But I got it all cleaned up.
Not sure what is next... Trying to make my way through all my Scentsy testers for spring/summer.

Beautiful day in SW Ohio, 68 F and not humid.
DH had his second shot and has been very tired and grumpy, so I am ready for him to feel better.
Last night and today it's been a big fave:
Scentsy Walnut Raisin Muffin - Just like it sounds - with big plump juicy raisins, honestly it makes my mouth water just describing it.
I will say that this wax seems to last a very long time for me, as in days.

Michele, your scents sound lovely. I hope you have a little more downtime with the shower behind you... But I know the babies take a lot of time!
I had our contractors come over to clean out the gutters and they found some roof damage from hail while they were up there... So we will contact the insurance. I knew we would need to address the roof at some time because it is older.
Well yesterday it was
Scentsy Make A Splash - melon, green apple, turquoise waters - Fresh and a little bit fruity, not overly sweet- love! Good and strong without killing everyone.
And today it has been
EA Mermaid Tonic - Rosemary mint, twisted peppermint, salty sea air, vanilla bean Noel - minty and beachy, the SSA not too strong, lovely medium high throw.
I'm realizing that I prefer a medium to medium-high throw. I don't like to be blown out of the house or have it so strong that I can't concentrate on anything else. Judging by a lot of comments here and on Instagram though, it seems like a lot more people prefer a 9-10 strength and throw, and I think I used to feel that way too until this last year. I'm not sure why that changed for me but there it is.

Michele, I'm so happy that your daughter's bridal shower was a beautiful success! It must have been lovely to all be together in her honor. What did her new little niece and nephew make of it all??

I had a wonderful day at the hospital yesterday. We've added some new music to the songbook and those songs were well received. I felt like a big part of my life was missing this last year without being able to go there, and it's lovely to be back.
Well I'm enjoying the Scentsy scent of the month for May:
Palm Trees and Ocean Breeze - dewy palm leaf, coconut water, and a touch of fresh pineapple. I love this scent so much and it's a good performer - medium-high in each room with just one cube.
Yesterday I did a trio of tropical scents to celebrate our deliverance from ice and snow - two from Britta's Creepy Treasures and one from Sparkle's. They were all fruity and wonderful and performed well.

Well yesterday I went to the hospital for reorientation and it filled my heart with joy... So good to see everybody and it will be good to start our groups again. I feel like a big chunk of my life has been missing without them.
I need to mark the calendar today because for once in my life I have no outstanding wax orders. Can this be possible? I'm sure this won't last long... I tried to order a fizzy sampler from Zeep yesterday but it was sold out.
Well this morning it's:
Destination Wax Ghostess (Parma Violets, toasted marshmallow) and it's so strong and beautiful... You have to love violet scent for this one, which I do, and that cloud of marshmallow wrapped around it... Divine.

Today it's Scentsy scent of the month for May, Palm Trees and Ocean
Breeze. This has palm fronds, coconut husk, and a little bit of pineapple - absolutely adore. It is more fresh and green than fruity.
Tomorrow I have a reorientation at the hospital. I am very very excited to see every one again.

Michele, you are right, we still have to be careful. A friend of mine had her first shot but not her second, let her guard down a bit, and caught Covid. So she is sick now. For me, it's still going to be masks and eating outside. Definitely happy things are opening up, but with care.

Scentsy Bloomin' Beach - rose, peony and sea jasmine - this is a sweet floral with the rose leading the way. I'm not getting any kind of a sea air note, which is fine - beautiful scent. It was strong at first but got lighter quickly - too bad because it's a lovely scent. It's still present but not strong.

Empire Alchemy When Stars Collide - strawberry, grapefruit, spearmint, peppermint - This is the second time I have ordered this from this vendor and it is one of my favorites. Very fresh, not overly sweet, uplifting.
Only a week and a half until I go back to the hospital. I will be very glad to see everyone.

I feel completely back to normal after the second shot last Friday. Or, as "normal' as I will ever be.
The grass is growing in front of my eyes and the lawn mower has been in the shop for a month now with no result. I know they are backed up, but gee whiz. Still paying the local fellows to mow - and they do a great job - but DH is itching to do it himself.
Well yesterday it was the Zombie Head from Britta's in She'll Die First (buttermint, pink sugar, Mrs Claus' Cookies) and it was heavenly, strong for about 8 hours.
And last night I put in a favorite:
Scentsy Apple S'mores (wrongly named IMHO) - this is mac apple, marshmallow, and cedar, woody and sweet, absolutely adore it. Only a medium strength but so beautiful that I don't mind. Long lasting.

DW Lavender Basil - Rebecca is my go-to for lavender scents and this is so beautiful. The basil is very fresh-picked and the lavender creamy and herbal. Bliss!
And
Scentsy Palm Trees and Ocean Breeze - This will be the May scent of the month and it's very fresh and green. I haven't seen all the scent notes yet but there may be a little pineapple lurking in there. Medium high throw from a tiny little piece, so I am happy.
Steve has his first shot today and I have my second shot tomorrow, so we are getting there. We had a sobering event on our street - the elderly gentlemen several doors down was infected with the virus and hospitalized...He caught it at his church where they had a super spreading event... He became gravely ill and lost 30 lb but thankfully has survived.

Well it is already 72F here in SW Ohio so we are moving briskly into warmer weather, typical for around here. Spring is fast. I will need to move the morning walk up so it won't be so hot.

Well yesterday it was:
The Burning Mitten Peach Lavender Soda -this was spectacular - so juicy and herbal and bubbly - and it was strong for about 10 hours, wonderful wax.
Today it's:
Scentsy Sun-Soaked Petals - daffodils, currant and mint - a beautiful sweet floral, just a touch of mint, so springy and bright. Excellent strength and throw throughout the house.
Today the Scentsy Whiff Box is arriving, always a cause for celebration.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Bob Evans did a good job on the meal and we have plenty of leftovers.
Mag! That Fried Pear Cake from TSGS sounds divine. I have finally used up all of my wax from that vendor which I bought when I visited their store in Florida on business. That was a dangerous visit indeed.
Love the little Chiclets pieces they make and always great throw!
Michele, your Easter pictures on IG are beyond lovely and the babies just bring me to my knees... The smiles!!
Well today it's a strong and beautiful one-
Destination Wax Kale Salad - green kale, green apple, red currant, pineapple, coriander. It is fresh, crisp, lightly sweet, and full of snap. It started out strong and has just increased... Strength and throw now about an 11 in the house.
This is even in my wimpy warmers. This is one of her signature scents and I still have about a quarter of a loaf.

Michele, I love your picture above. Lasagna sounds like a beautiful choice to me for the holiday meal.
I also have had no leaking with Empire Alchemy - in fact, everything is very dry. Everything I have purchased from this vendor is one year old or less, not sure if that is a factor. If they should ever choose to weep, I shall dry their tears and comfort them, because I must have this vendor in my life.

yes it is shocking that I participated in the restock! I hope your father continues to improve. Good for you, working on those samples! Same thing - I had amassed a huge amount of them, and last year when I was traveling, I would take a big bag with me each trip and power melt with two melters and multiple dishes - each sample getting one hour - then switch. I finally got through them. If there was something I particularly loved, I would keep the dish and melt it some more when I got home. It was madness. 
What we do for our addiction....
I do remember one time when I had samples spread out all over the other hotel bed and the smoke alarm started chirping. I had to call the desk to get the battery changed and two ladies came to the room. They stared at all that wax - and I stammered, oh that, it's just my hobby, I love scented wax, it's like candles. They giggled politely and I thought well, now I'm the crazy lady on the fourth floor.
So! Today it's:
Empire Alchemy Black Currant Fig - fig, cedar, currant, dark amber - gorgeous and unusual, with all notes that I love combining to make something entirely new. The fig and the currant are very happy together, not sweet, and woody with the cedar. Medium throw in 40W Edison bulb Scentsy warmer. Still not sure which wax does best in this warmer...I still think EA does better in lower wattage.
Scentsy Coco Lime - oh, be still my heart - such a beautiful scent. Creamy coconut followed by the juiciest, most realistic lime, as though you had just cut one in half and have juice on your hand. Strong and not overly sweet. It has been going since yesterday. This is a favorite.
Well I don't feel like cooking so we are ordering in Easter dinner from Bob Evans, all the fixings and serves six, so we will have leftovers. Getting ready for the daily walk now.
I hope everyone has a peaceful, loving holiday and hugs their families today, or holds close in their hearts those who can't be present.

I'm not sure it was a brace, but I wrenched my knee about 11 years ago and wore a wrap that you could alternate with heat, ice, heat, ice. It saved the day. (And how about you?)

...I suppose I do keep a close eye on Empire Alchemy...I was going to hold off on this must recent restock, all about tropical summary citrusy goodness, but Anna's beautiful descriptions wore me down and I did place a smallish order. I agree with you that Gambit would make a gorgeous perfume.
Michele, I have always enjoyed VRC lemon and lemon curd oils so that Loopy Lemon sounds very nice. How are things at the beach house?
Valerie, I hope the move will go smoothly. What kind of home are you planning? And are you enjoying Teddie B's? I've heard a lot of great reviews!
Well winter has come back for a brief encore, but I hope the stage manager gets the hook and throws him out on his ear. All the flowers are blooming and now we've had two nights of freezing temperatures.
This morning it's still stuff from two days ago which has been long-lasting:
Empire Alchemy Sleigh All Day - limoncello, honeydew, cotton candy cocktail, mint sprigs - a lovely citrusy, minty melony mixture and it had great longevity in my Scentsy element warmer.
Scentsy Squeeze the Day - creamy fresh lemon - so strong and refreshing, and I love the creaminess.

The noteworthy scent from two days ago was Destination Wax Malabar Coast - cracked peppercorn and Ocean Breeze. It was so clean and refreshing, very strong, and one of those scents that permeates everything. I loved it but will use much less next time.
Sharon, Susan, Debra, Valerie, I hope you all are doing well.
