Random question...I have a very dedicated, enthusiastically Jewish friend who is getting married soon, and I was thinking how great it would be if I could mail her a candle as a small gift. Does anyone know, are there any scents that have any particular significance for the Jewish faith? I'd love for it to be symbolic in that way, but I don't know much about Judaism at all so I don't know if such a fragrance even exists, or if I should just get her something pretty standard that I think she might like.

golly, that is a good question.

hmm, only things that I can think of that are not so much symbolic but native to Israel are anything w/orange blossom water (neroli), or something like cactus and sea salt, or sea blossom(I'm thinking Dead Sea here)....I know, that is a strech. lol

biblically speaking, only thing that comes to mind is Frankenscense and Myhrr(sp). interesting to see if anyone has some suggestions.

Thanks, Susan. I got an 8-oz. candle in Neroli Blossom, hopefully she likes it!
