I found myself in dire need of a new melter, so I went to Carol's site and ordered one along with some scents. I also noticed she no longer listed Amish Quilt so I did email her and also asked her to let us know how things were going. I also told her that I had posted on Candlefind. This is her response:

Hello, i am home just got back...gave them lots of blood...wont know much for a bit...i have rare blood and if i have some factors in it i may be out of the ball park right away, but we are hopeful for my son...i just relisted amish quilt, i have two bags left and will be remaking, it is a wonderful scent...please do thank all the girls on the forum for their kind words and thoughts...it really means so much to me...it is kind of a hard time for me, being that she is in San Diego and i am in Pa....that is why i went back in June to see her and see what i can do, and see how she is.....we have known this was coming one day...just was hoping it was not going to happen to her so young...she is 40...my work here which i love really helps me alot...keeping busy is good rx for me..thanks again...thanks for the note..C

Toberetired:

Thank you so much for posting. I sent Carol a note last night. She's such a wonderful gal and I hope all goes well for her family. Our neighbors just went thru that in July. Father donated to son and all is well!!!

Yes, thanks so much for the info, Tobe. I sure hope it all turns out well. My own daughter is 41, and I can only imagine the concern they're all experiencing.

Prayers for a wonderful outcome...

Yes, thanks so much for the update!
I emailed Carol last night to let her know we were all sending hugs, prayers, and good thoughts her way from Candlefind.
Sometimes it just takes knowing that someone out there cares about you even if you have never met in person.
People can bash us money-wasting "Wax crazies" all they want, BUT I happen to think that we're all a bunch of good hearted people!

I agree. I am sure Carol would love hearing from any and all of us.

Cisley - let's hope Carol's son will be a match since it appears Carol may not.

I feel so bad for her and her daughter. This has got to be hard on her. She's such a sweet lady and I'm sure that her daughter is also a sweet lady. I'm hoping that they find a match for her soon.
