Urgent Blue Request

Just got off the phone with my Mom and they are rushing Joey to the emergency room with dizzy spells, pain in his head and trouble focusing his eyes. Not sure if the tumor in the brain has grown and is causing pressure or what but we need some good thoughts right now. His parents are not doing good. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I will post as I get updates. We are not going to the hospital at this point since the roads are bad, weather is worse and we have our five year old. But I will be getting reports. It may be awhile though as I am sure they will do a scan and bloodwork.

mommy--hang in there--my heart is with you, Joey, and all the family. I think you are wise to stay put until you know something. No sense risking any more lives. It is hard to wait by that phone but all of us on here are with you in spirit. Nancy

Mommy, I am definitely thinking of you, your family, and Joey right now. I pray everything will be OK. I'm putting on Lather's & Lights Blueberry Cobbler in just a moment for you.

They have admitted Joey and put him on steroids. Right now he is in a full body scan. THey have told his parents that there is somethng wrong with his brain but the Doctor's won't know exactly what until they read the scan. They said it could possibly be swelling around the tumor or worse- the tumor has grown in size that quickly. Will let you know when I hear the results of the scan.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Mommy. If there is swelling, it's good he is on the steroids. It sounds like he is in such good care. I will continue to pray for Joey.

The news is really bad. His last scan was just a couple of weeks ago and in that short time period several new masses have formed on his brain. His parents have been told that there is nothing more to do but keep him comfortable. They have moved him to another room and it must be ICU because his parents are the only ones allowed to see him right now. The are doing an MRI in the morning to get more details.

This is happening much, much faster than any of us expected. I just saw Joey on Saturday and he was running around like a normal three year old.

Please, please keep Joey and his parents in your thoughts and prayers.
