First impression of Flannel:

Fall is just about here candle lovers, can you believe it? All through August and even September, I’m never really ready to burn fall scents considering I’m in Arizona and it stays pretty warm here through mid-November. When it’s hot, I’m still into sweet and fresh summer scents. But here I am at the end of August burning a Flannel scented candle. You think of flannel and you imagine something warm and cozy. At least that’s what I imagine. Well, I’ve got to say, this candle smells amazing… like a bright and fresh unisex perfume – and I liked it. A lot!

Here is the scent description I pulled from the bottom of the candle:

Fresh Bergamot, Heirloom Mahogany, Soft Musk

Mmm!! When I put my nose up to the wax, I smelled crisp air, bergamot and mahogany in that order. This isn’t a heavy or spicy fall scent at all… it smelled fresh and wonderful, and now I’m super excited to light the wicks and get started.

Which happens right now!!

I lit this candle in my master bedroom and that’s where it stayed till the last drop of wax. Once the wicks were lit, it took the average 20 minutes to reach a full melt pool but I noticed the aroma long before that and aaaaaah!!!!! It smelled so wonderful. The aroma reminded me of a cross between a fresh fabric softener and a subtle perfume. It didn’t smell outdoors’y – it smelled like a fresh unisex perfume that soaks into your clothes from wearing it all day. You just want to put your nose up to it and inhale the yummy scent. I love, love, LOVED it!

Strength – this candle gave a nice and steady strong throw in a large room. I would rate it 10 out of 10 in any size room. Actually, probably much stronger in medium to smaller rooms. This candle was a room filler.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish. YAY!!

Closing to my review:

Well, well, well, I went into this review thinking I would be smelling a spicy scent but it ended up being the total opposite, and I couldn’t be more pleased. I love this candle and highly recommend it if you love fresh unisex fragrances. Flannel wasn’t a spicy bakery or warm and cozy scent… it was a fresh and vibrant unisex aroma that is sure to bring a smile to your face. I’ll definitely be picking up another before the season ends. Maybe even a few. Yeah, I liked it that much. 🙂
