Intro To My Febreze Wax Melt Review
I can’t seem to keep myself from picking up some kind of wax product every time I enter Walmart. Somehow this Febreze pack ended up in my shopping cart, so I thought I might as well close the loop with a wax melt review. I’ve used Febreze products before, but mostly their plugins and laundry products. I knew the price point for these was a little higher than what I was used to at Walmart, but I was willing to give it a fair shot.
First Impressions of My Wax Melt
The wax melt package was larger than the ones I usually get from ScentSationals or BH&G. It was still clamshell style and weighed in at 2.75oz of wax. I loved the deep pink color of the wax (yes…I’m partial to pink). The wax was buttery soft and had an oiliness to the surface. It wasn’t messy, just different.
I’ve used Downy April Fresh laundry products from Febreze, so I had an idea of what this should smell like. True to form, it smelled just like the fabric softener to me! Super clean and super fresh, definitely perfumey but not too much.

This had a nice, strong cold sniff so I put it in my 24W hotplate warmer in a large, open room. It started melting almost immediately and I could smell the fresh, clean scent. Ahhhh! It was wonderful! It smelled exactly like the fabric softener and like I had just done a fresh load of laundry. It was crisp and clean and still had that perfume scent to it – most likely due to a floral mix. Still, it wasn’t overpowering or headache-inducing. It was just right.
As much as I loved the scent, I was surprised it wasn’t stronger than it was. It did throw well – I could smell it all throughout the lower level of the home. But the scent itself was moderately strong. That is probably a good thing, because I might have gotten a headache if it were stronger, given the perfume based notes.
How Did My Wax Melt Perform?
As mentioned above, it was a moderately strong scent, but it did throw well. And it lasted a super long time. I got several hours of melt out of it on the first day and I left it in another day for good measure. I finally changed it out, but it could probably have lasted several hours more.
I poured this wax out while melted and cleanup was super easy.
Closing To My Wax Melt Review
Overall, I enjoyed this wax melt and would probably purchase it again. I would have liked the scent to be stronger itself, but it did travel well. I also liked the fact that one cube lasted such a long time! That makes the higher price point a lot more reasonable. You can purchase a pack of 3 of these on Amazon, which should last you quite a long time.
