Introduction to my review:

I was really excited when I received 2 aromatherapy candles as a surprise from Éclat Essence… no reason… a “just because” kind of gift with no expectations attached. Once I had them in my hands and smelled each one, I really felt compelled to write up a review. I love aromatherapy candles… especially those *truly* made with pure essential oils. It is such a treat when I get to burn one. You can’t mistake a true aromatherapy candle either…. you just know when you’re holding one. They feel and smell different… so clean, pure and natural… and always puts a smile on my face. Pure aromatherapy candles are amazing and I think every candle lover needs to experience one.

Éclat Essence is located in the beautiful Hawaiian Islands… their story began in 2010… The owner, Janelle Akemi became passionate about finding essential oil candles for her home. Realizing she was sensitive to artificial fragrance, her journey to make the perfect aromatherapy candle began. After months of painstaking study, Éclat Essence was born. Their kitchen served as the Éclat workshop, with orders coming through word of mouth which in my opinion are the best kind.

Eclat candles are made with sustainable coconut wax, exclusive therapeutic grade essential oil blends poured into beautiful frosted glass vessels. I’ve burned my fair share of aromatherapy candles but never with coconut wax so I was really looking forward to burning these. The scents I received were Breathe and Sicilian Lemon Drop.

I feel compelled to point out… Janelle, owner of Eclat sent me these candles for pure enjoyment knowing how much I love candles. When she found out I was actually reviewing them… she became a little concerned I would judge her candles *strength wise* against other brands. I assured her I don’t review that way. I understand that aromatherapy candles made with pure essential oils are essentially in a totally different category than other brands (small or large) and they cannot be compared or held against other brands – at all. There truly is no comparison.

Eclat candles (to me) appeal to those who desire nothing but absolute purity in their home. There is nothing synthetic or fake going into your candle… only the best and cleanest ingredients are used. These candles – by nature – will not produce a huge scent throw and because of the natural ingredients used – are going to cost more. But if purity is your desire… the prices are absolutely worth it.
