Wax Pods
Wax pods are containers of scented wax that you place on a heat source to warm and release the fragrance. Most often the containers are made of some sort of plastic and must be placed on a proprietary warmer to work properly. An example is the Easy MeltCup from Yankee Candle. These cups can give out hours and hours of scent, as mentioned in our Wildflower Blooms review. They are also relatively easy to use with a no-mess cleanup.

There are only a handful of companies that sell these items. Yankee Candle, as mentioned above, sells Easy MeltCups that must be used in their Scenterpiece melter. Gold Canyon, now out of business, used to sell similar wax pods. Even if you do not have the right melter, you can still find use for this type of home fragrance. The wax can be removed and placed into another type of warmer dish.
