Intro To My Candle Review
I’m like a moth to a flame when it comes to luxury candles. That’s why I was really excited to try a new-to-me company called Aubert & Amandine. This luxurious brand has a number of aromatherapy candles that are very easy on the eyes. Perfect for this season is a winter/holiday line, including Comfort – a “natural wax candle made with essential oils.” 
First Impressions of My Candle
I was impressed from the moment I held this candle in my hands. The box it was in was a thing of beauty – it had a solid, wintery gray base with a top sprinkled with snowflakes, matching the design of the candle vessel. Nestled inside was this huge three-wick candle that screamed winter & holiday joy to me. My descriptions won’t do it justice, so be sure to check out the pictures taken directly from the website.
Once I managed to stop admiring the beauty, I took a quick whiff…mmmm! It smelled delicious! I smelled the sweet scent of apple with just a hint of spiciness to it. It had a great, strong cold sniff, which was encouraging.

Even though this candle was large and had a strong cold sniff, I decided to place it in a medium-sized bedroom to see how it would fare. I’m used to aromatherapy candles having a gentler scent strength, so I thought this would be a safe bet.
After trimming my wicks, I lit this big bundle of joy and left it to do its thing. Well, it didn’t take long, that’s for sure! Within 20 minutes, I was noticing the scent wafting in the air and starting to travel outside the boundaries of the bedroom. Score!
This was the perfect blend of apples and cinnamon. The sweet, juicy apple commanded the day with just enough of the sweet, spicy cinnamon to round it out. It made the entire house smell like the holidays! The scent strength itself was moderately strong and the scent throw was ah-mazing. As the candle continued to burn, I could smell it on out into the rest of the house. This candle would have been fine in my large, open living space without a doubt.
How Did My Candle Burn?
This candle was fantastic. I was able to get an almost full wax melt pool in a relatively short period of time given the 3 wicks. I left the candle burning for several hours initially so that the wax melt pool would reach all the way to the edges. I trimmed my wicks initially and then in between burns, but that was it. I didn’t have to fiddle with the wicks or do anything with this candle other than let it burn. It had a very clean burn without noticeable black sooting. And it burned evenly all the way to the end. What more could you ask???
I was able to enjoy this candle for well over the 50 hour mark. I think that’s very important, because when you’re paying out for a luxury candle, you want to be sure you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. The other bonus was how beautiful this candle was while burning! It had nice, soft glow with all those pretty snowflakes on the vessel. So. Pretty.
Closing To My Candle Review
Aubert & Amandine could quickly become one of my next best favorite candle companies. This candle introduction was a great start. It had a great scent strength and amazing throw. Plus it was a joy to look at! I have since repurposed this candle vessel – it looks lovely on the living room shelf, where it will remain all season. If you like apple cinnamon blends and are looking for a good addition to the holiday decor this season, consider this candle. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
