First impression of Coconut Macaroon:

Coconut Macaroon from Paula Deen smelled pretty delicious and a candle I couldn’t resist purchasing. The price… spectacular!! I think I spent less than five dollars for this candle. I’m also sorry to report, I forgot to take a picture of this candle prior to burning it so I don’t have one to post with this review. Sorry folks… the candle itself was a standard tall and skinny mason jar with a single wick.

I had a near perfect experience with a Paula Deen candle not long ago (Crème Brulee) I had purchased from Big Lots so it’s no wonder I went back and picked up a few more fragrances to test and review. I don’t have a scent description to post on Coconut Macaroon but the scent name basically tells it all. Sweet coconut macaroon cookies. The wax itself smelled like a sweet bakery coconut and very realistic.

Time to see how my candle burns.

I lit this candle in a small bathroom to start and would say it took a good 20 minutes to start noticing the fragrance. The aroma… just as I imagined, a sweet bakery coconut. It smelled like buttery coconut cookies and 100% edible. I loved it!

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 5 in a small room… yeah… it wasn’t nearly as strong as the previous candle I had tried (Crème Brulee, same style and size) so I was a teeny bit disappointed this fragrance didn’t pack as much of a punch. I still liked it though and enjoyed every moment of it.

How did my candle burn?

My candle burned perfect. Zero issues. Clean burning from beginning to end.

Closing to my review:

For the price I paid for this candle, I really can’t complain. The scent was very realistic, a delicious and warm bakery coconut – it was just lightly scented. It was perfect though in a small bathroom so I could totally see myself purchasing this one again to burn in a small room.
