Intro To My Wax Melt Review
I’d much rather shop at Walgreens versus Walmart because it is soooo much less of a hassle to me. It was at one of these shopping trips I found these cinnamon wax melts from Patriot Candles. These are relatively inexpensive wax melts and a way for me to get a cheap, quick fix. Their Cinnamon wax melts were on closeout, so I got them for a little over a buck each. Score!
First Impressions of My Wax Melt
The wax melts were clamshell style with the scent and company name on the front. I can never find scent descriptions anywhere, which I hate! There was a large “window” towards the bottom of the package that allowed some viewing of the front part of the product. I’m not sure that really matters in this case, but I suppose it provides a visual.
No Scent Description Available
I was expecting more harsh notes, but that’s not what I got. I got a soft, sweet smell of cinnamon on cold sniff. Yum! These wax melts were a little oily and soft. Very easy to break apart. I used 1 cube in a tealight melter and started smelling the wonderful aroma of sweet cinnamon almost immediately. There was no creaminess, no other scent layers. Just pure, sweet cinnamon and I liked it!
How Did My Wax Melt Perform?
The wax melt was a milder scent than expected, but the throw was pretty good. I had better results when I decided to put 2 cubes in a 24W melter. The scent lasted for several hours, but I could tell it was starting to fade by the end of the day.
Closing To My Wax Melt Review
This was a really good wax melt for what it was…inexpensive, single note, quick fix. I don’t think I could have asked much more knowing what I was getting going in. The scent throw was decent and it lasted for several hours. The scent itself was wonderful! I hope these make a comeback to my local Walgreens, because I’ll be sure to pick up a few more.
