Cinnamon Stick Village Candle Review

By Christina Rylan

Brand: Village Candle

Type: 14.5oz Kitchen Collection Candle

Fragrance: Cinnamon Stick

Scent Strength: Medium

What did my candle smell like?

Let’s start with the simple scent description I found online for Cinnamon Stick.

“Cinnamon and nutmeg.”

Can’t get any simpler than that which was fine… I love cinnamon candles and think it’s a perfect scent to burn when it’s cold outside and at the moment… it is very cold outside where I live right now. First impression, the wax smelled like spicy cinnamon and another spice I’m guessing was the Nutmeg. Whatever it was, it was warm and very inviting.

I lit this candle in my master bedroom to test out and ended up keeping in there from beginning to end. Cinnamon scents are generally strong but surprisingly, this candle wasn’t – which, I was actually okay with. The fragrance itself… very different and not your average cinnamon scent. It was cinnamon all right but almost had a smoky quality to it. I could smell the nutmeg but it was subtle and even though vanilla wasn’t listed in the scent description… this scent had such a creamy quality to it, I could swear vanilla was in the mix. I really liked the fragrance. A creamy cinnamon with a touch of nutmeg and vanilla. Very warm and cozy.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, in a large room, I’d rate this candle a 6. In a medium room, an 8. Small, a 9 to 10.

Perfect!! Both with burned evenly with zero issues. Clean and even burn from start to finish.

Closing to my review:

This was an excellent cinnamon scent and quite different… I liked it. It was on the subtle side so I suggest burning it in a medium to small room for the best scent throw. It’s now a discontinued fragrance from Village which is a bummer but you may still be able to find it locally in stores. If you candle-exciteddo… give it a smell. You’ll likely walk away with one… especially if you love fall fragrances.

Happy candle hunting!

Christina
