Introduction to my review:
I’ve been really intrigued with Yankee’s Pure Radiance line of candles lately. They’re crackling wood wicks for one and they really are pretty candles. See picture above for visual reference.
I don’t have the luxury of a Yankee store close by so I’m an online shopper relying on their scent descriptions to lead the way. Cinnamon Scone sounded too yummy to pass up. I’m a bakery girl to the core and this…. well, it sounded delicious!
What did my candle smell like?
First impression…. As soon as I popped off the lid to smell the wax, I liked it. The wax smelled like the sweetest bread with hints of spice. You know you have a winner when you’re tempted to eat the wax. This candle smelled good enough to eat.
Scent description from Yankee‘s website:
“Fresh-from-the-oven fabulous . . . pinches of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and brown sugar make this scent feel baked with love.”
That’s a great description for this candle because that’s truly what I was smelling. Yummy bread, cinnamon and sweet brown sugar. Not sure about the ginger but maybe that’ll come out once I start burning the candle. Time to find out!
I lit this candle in a small powder room to start out just to gauge the strength and I ended up leaving it there. The fragrance stayed really light but it did fragrance the small room perfectly so I was happy. The scent…. delicious! It smelled exactly as it did when I first smelled it cold… warm and sweet bread with hints of spice. Had this candle been stronger, I would have been in heaven.
Strength – one a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this a low 5. It wasn’t strong so if you give this fragrance a try, I would stick to burning it in a small room.
This candle burned perfect. Love these wicks!! With each lighting, the candle reached a full melt pool within a short time and it burned perfect the whole way down. No wasted wax, clean burn. I did have to trim the wick each day or the flame was huge but I consider that a good thing.
Closing to my review:
I enjoyed this candle and thought the fragrance smelled exactly as the description implied… a sweet delicious bakery scent with hints of spice. The only negative was the strength… had it been stronger, it would have been perfect. As far as the sound effects… I didn’t really hear anything but I was okay with that. These radiance wicks burn beautifully and reach full melt pools fast. I like that.
If you love bakery scents… this fragrance is pretty good. Just expect it to be lightly scented.
Happy candle hunting!

I liked this scent too but it was to light for me. For the price, I won’t buy it again.
I’ve never tried this one. Sounds delicious.
