First impression of Indulge, Cinnamon Rum Raisin:
I loved the look of this candle. The glass was a pretty frosted lavender with a clear label with holiday illustrations all around it. See picture above.
The scent… pure yum!! My nose picked up on a warm and doughy bakery that made me smile in pure appreciation. I think I even smelled the raisin… it smelled sweet and different.
Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:
Cinnamon, nutmeg essential oils and noted of spiced rum.
Hmm? Initial impression, my nose definitely picked up on the bakery part first. It smelled like cake or donuts… something doughy. Yum! The second part I picked up on had to be the spiced rum. It smelled sweet and different from the doughy bakery I was smelling. Whatever it was, I liked it. Could I smell the nutmeg and cinnamon essential oils? Maybe but it was hard to tell. If they were there, it was very light. The true test will be once the candle is lit, then all the yummy scents really start coming to life. And with that said, let’s get to it!
I lit this candle in my master bedroom, my favorite room to burn Bath & Body Works candles in. Once the wicks were lit, it took the average 20 minutes to reach a full melt pool and the aroma…. pretty yummy! I smelled a very sugary and sweet vanilla cake with what I’m guessing was spiced rum. It smelled like sugar cake with hints of spice. Loved it!! I just wish it would have been a tad stronger. I never did smell nutmeg and I was okay with that. The scent was perfect just as it was.
Strength – I would rate this candle a 7 in a really large room (which isn’t too bad.) 10 in medium to smaller rooms.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned perfect. No wick issues. YES!!! Clean burning from beginning to end. A+
Closing to my review:
I really enjoyed Cinnamon Rum Raisin and would totally purchase it again. I don’t see this candle listed on Bath & Body Works site (which doesn’t surprise me) but I bet you can still purchase it in their stores. I don’t know why but their stores tend to carry all their current fragrances vs online. Go smell one… you may walk away with a few if you love bakery scents.
Happy candle hunting!
