Intro To My Christmas Tree Scented Candle Review
I love the smell of a freshly cut Christmas tree, but I often am on the road and unable to get a live tree. That’s where a good, quality Christmas tree scented candle can help get me in the festive mood. I was curious about the Fraser Fir candle from Santa’s Naturals, a brand of Murphy’s Naturals. We’ve already reviewed their Winter Berry candle earlier this month.
First Impressions of My Christmas Tree Scented Candle
I love the look of these Christmas-themed candles. They come in this super cute wintery tin that is so bright and festive. The 9 ounce candle has a single wick and off-white wax. It was boxed in a Christmasy gift box, which would make this candle perfect for a stocking stuffer or those office Christmas parties. No wrapping needed!
The cold sniff on this candle instantly made me think of a freshly cut Christmas tree. It even had some of the freshly ground dirt kind of smell to it…in a good way! It just smelled so realistic. According to the website’s scent description:
CHRISTMAS TREE SCENT: Notes of Fir and Cedarwood create a nostalgic scent of a fresh-cut Christmas tree
Interesting. I wasn’t getting the sweet cedarwood notes. I smelled the fir tree notes and really not much else. It was pure Christmas tree to me.
I trimmed the wick down as I learned these thick wicks keep a robust flame. I burned the candle in a small guest bathroom and could start to smell it within 30 minutes. It smelled like a fresh Christmas tree. Fraser fir trees have pine cones that give it a woodsy kind of smell and I declare, that’s exactly what I was smelling. It was fairly realistic and it was just what I was looking for to get me into the holiday mood.
I could smell the candle in the room it was in without any difficulty. I didn’t get much of the smell outside that space. I think if I were using it where I would normally place my Christmas tree, I would want at least two of these candles burning to fill the space.
How Did My Christmas Tree Scented Candle Perform?
I got a full wax melt pool with this candle. There was no wasted wax to worry about. The flame was big but manageable. I was just sure to trim my wicks in between burns to keep the flame manageable. I didn’t have any black sooting. This candle burned for about 40 hours for me.
Closing To My Christmas Tree Scented Candle Review
I was pretty pleased with this Christmas tree scented candle from Santa’s Naturals. It is perfect for gift giving as-is. If you’re only able to use artificial trees, this is a good option to have burning to give you that fresh Christmas tree scent in your home. The scent is very realistic and not overwhelming.
