This month sees the launch of the first of an exclusive new range of products by Lady Wilnelia Forsyth.
Inspired by her childhood, Wilnelia has drawn on the beautiful fragrances of the Caribbean for the creation of her range of perfumed candles; Wilnelia Forsyth London. Working in association with top creative fragrance designers, she has distilled the essence of tropical sunshine into beautiful jars that glow with evocative scenes of colonial San Juan – the design of which is taken from Wilnelia’s own artwork. She has also used an innovative way to illuminate the candle, which is symbolic of warmth glowing from within the home.
Drawing on my fashion and modelling career, I am now fulfilling my long held ambition to build a distinct and beautiful lifestyle brand.
The candles add a fillip of intimacy to the home. Once lit, they release their exotic perfume, while the incandescent jars reveal the colourful silhouette of Wilnelia’s homeland. They reflect the comfort of home, the reassurance of happy memories, and the warmth of family life.
Fortnum & Mason is the ideal venue for the launch of this luxury range. Each piece – named after a scent, a flower, or an ethereal memory – is an inspiration from the past to create a better future.
The collection is inspired by some of my earliest recollections. Sitting with my grandfather in his garden, my brother close by under the mango tree, drinking water from a fresh coconut. All around us the scent of tuberose….
The Wilnelia Forsyth London range is entirely hand-poured, and made of a premium 100% natural blend and a high proportion of natural oils. Only the best ingredients and fragrances have been used, to capture the essence of wild orchids, musk, tuberose, jasmine amongst others.
A percentage of the profits will go to the Wilnelia Forsyth Foundation, a non-profit organization. Established in 1994, working to improve healthcare and education for children in Puerto.
