Sweet Buttercream scented candle review

Fragrance: Sweet Buttercream
Scent Strength: Light
What did my candle smell like?
I am so sad Village is discontinuing their Kitchen Collection Candles. BOO!! The only good thing – you can still purchase these candles at various local stores and online outlets like The Lampstead and Candles To My Door. So… I’m reviewing them anyway just in case Village decides to bring these candles back in their classic round candles.
Scent description for Sweet Buttercream:
“Sweet butter, vanilla bean and warm cinnamon”
First impression… the wax had very little aroma. It was sweet and buttery but super light. The true test will be lighting it and letting it burn for a while. Time to find out….
I lit this candle in a small bathroom to start and ended up leaving it there from beginning to end. This candle smelled yummy but had very little fragrance… even for a 2 wick candle. I was surprised how light it was. The scent itself… delicious… a sweet buttercream vanilla scent. True and authentic. Just too light to really appreciate. Even in a small room. I never did detect the warm cinnamon notes either. To me, this scent was straight vanilla buttercream.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 1, even in a small room. Total bummer.
How did my candle burn?
My candle burned great. Zero issues. Clean and even burn from beginning to end.
Closing to my review:
I do love Village Candles so I’m not letting this one fragrance detour me from trying other scents. There is always a candle in the bunch that just doesn’t do it for us. This was one of them for me. So… onto the next!
Happy candle hunting!
