Pineapple Sunrise Bath & Body Works Candle Review

Brand: Bath & Body Works
Type: 14.5oz large 3 wick candle
Fragrance: Pineapple Sunrise
Scent Strength: Strong
First impression of Pineapple Sunrise:
It was instant love the moment I smelled Pineapple Sunrise from Bath & Body Works. I inhaled and then smiled in pure bliss. I am so in love with everything pineapple this year and boy did this scent get my mouth watering. Tart and sugary pineapple greeted me the moment I popped off the lid.
Here is the scent description for Pineapple Sunrise:
Juicy island pineapple, crisp Persian lime, warm coconut musk.
I don’t smell musk in this fragrance but I do the Persian lime. This scent had a very tart and tangy vibe to it which must be the lime. It smelled like pineapple and crushed sweet tart candies. I instantly liked it.
Time to light my candle!
I stuck to my master bedroom to burn Pineapple Sunrise in and oh boy was it a perfect setting. The wicks lit right up and a melt pool formed in no time. The aroma… what an interesting scent this turned out to be. I truly expected pineapple to dominate but it was actually the lime that stole the show. My entire bedroom smelled like a zesty lime and pineapple. Not too sweet, not too tart. Smelling the air, lime stood out the most. Up close to the candle however, pineapple hit me head on, so this was one of those multi-dimensional scents where it changed on you. At least that’s how it was for me. Another weird thing to add to the “multi-dimensional” aspect… sometimes I swear I smelled hairspray. Don’t laugh. The zesty notes kind of reminded me of hairspray at times, and that part I didn’t care for. Funny what each of our noses picks up on.
Strength – I would rate Pineapple Sunrise a 10 out of 10 in any size room. This candle fragranced my bedroom, open bathroom and even spilled out into my great room. Loved the strength!
How did my Pineapple Sunrise candle burn?
I’m happy to report this candle burned perfect! Zero wick issues, YAY!! Clean burning from beginning to end. Heck, I even had to trim the wicks a couple of times. When it comes to this brand, I like that and don’t mind the maintenance at all.
Closing to my review:
Pineapple Sunrise was a citrusy summer scent that was more zesty lime than pineapple. At least to my nose anyway. And the hairspray part, that did throw me a little. I may have to try this candle again just to see if I get the same result. I’m willing to give it another try. Definitely check out Pineapple Sunrise next time you’re in a Bath & Body Works store. Sniff the wax and see what you think. You may fall in love.
Don’t see Pineapple Sunrise listed on Bath & Body Works website? Try one of their stores which tends to carry all their current scents vs online.
Happy candle hunting!
