What did my Cactus Blossom candle smell like? 

First impression of Cactus Blossom, loved the bright pink jar – a lot! Seems trivial but ascetics matter to me. Once I smelled the wax… I loved it even more. I smelled a fresh and sort of mix between something fruity and floral. It was strong and very unique.

Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:

Cactus flower petal, sun kissed coconut, vanilla, fresh sparkling lemon.

That’s the simplest description I’ve seen on a White Barn candle to date. Smelling the wax again, I smelled cactus flower the most, for sure – then maybe vanilla and lemon. Not sure I detected coconut but hoping that comes out once the candle is burning. To me this scent was fresh and bright floral. Not the heavy and sweet kind but more uplifting and vibrant. I think that’s why I liked it.

Time to see how it performs!

I lit this candle in my master bedroom and within 10 minutes, the fragrance was traveling all throughout my bedroom. It literally filled every nook and cranny with fragrance so this candle is pretty strong. The scent…. cactus flower and lemon, all the way. The best word to describe this candle would be fresh… it was so fresh and clean and to me, it reminded me of a lovely fabric softener. The overall aroma had a powdery quality to it which I’m guessing was the cactus flower and blended with lemon made it even more unique. I never did detect coconut and even the vanilla disappears once the candle was burning.

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 10 all around – in any room. It was that strong! Loved it!!

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish. A+

Closing to my review: 

What a pretty scent Cactus Blossom was and a scent I would absolutely purchase again. It was beyond fresh and reminded me of a really pretty fabric softener. Super fresh!!

I’m sure this is a seasonal fragrance so if it interests you, I wouldn’t delay purchasing one. It’s a keeper.
