First Impression of Butterscotch Toffee:
Butterscotch Toffee is an oldie but goodie I found stashed in one of my candle cabinets I totally forgot about – and it smelled absolutely too die for!! So, I decided to review it, what the heck right? The moment I popped off the lid to smell the wax… a buttery and sweet aroma wafted all around me and it was scrumptious. Buttery smooth and sweet as can be. Loved it before I even lit the wicks.
Here is the scent description from the bottom of the candle:
Give the holidays a salty-sweet twist with the scent of caramelized sugar, rich butterscotch and a dash of sea salt.
Oh yes, caramelized sugar all the way with swirls of butterscotch. I didn’t smell sea salt but it was all good… the overall scent was perfect just as it was.
Time to light this baby up!!
I started this candle in my master bedroom and that’s where it stayed till the very end. Once the wicks were lit, it took a good 20 minutes to reach a full melt pool and from then on out… the sweetest and most PERFECT butterscotch scent filled my bedroom. The dominant scent… caramelized sugar with hints of butterscotch. No sea salt but again, I was okay with that. The overall scent was pretty perfect as it was. A sweet and creamy caramelized butterscotch sugar. Yumorama!!!
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle an 8 in a large room. A 10 and above in a medium to smaller rooms. This candle gave a decent scent throw. Not too strong but a perfect medium. I loved it!!
How Did My Butterscotch Toffee Candle Burn?
This candle burned perfect! Clean burn from start to finish. Zero wick issues. In fact, I had to really keep up with trimming all three wicks or the flames turned into torches. Considering the wick issues Bath & Body Works candles can have… I take that as a plus.
Closing To My Review:
Loved Butterscotch Toffee and would absolutely purchase it again. Just imagine sweet caramelized sugar with swirls of buttercream. It was so sweet and buttery, you’ll be tempted to eat the candle. I did see a few stragglers in stores but I hope this scent makes a comeback on their website. They all eventually do.
Happy candle hunting!
