What did Brown Sugar & Spice from Yankee smell like?
Scent description from Yankee’s site:
“All good things start with the deep sweetness of brown sugar and rich, zesty cinnamon.”
This is a classic and staple fragrance from Yankee… keep in mind, it comes and goes so if you see it and want it, don’t hesitate… it may be gone the next time you look. One year, it’s available for sale, the next, it’s retired. I guess they do that to keep scents fresh and new.
First sniff… I could smell brown sugar with lots of cinnamon. It smelled warm and comforting. That kind of scent you imagine in a baker’s kitchen.
I burned this candle in a big bedroom to see how it fared and surprisingly, it did pretty good. Yankee candles are usually non existent or on the light side as far as scent strength… this scent however filled my bedroom with a moderate and steady scent. Not bad….
What was I smelling? A cinnamon’y and sweet brown sugar fragrance, just like it smelled when I first popped open the lid. It smelled just like the description and stayed true the entire time I had it burning.
How did my Brown Sugar & Spice candle burn?
My candle burned okay. I had a little bit of wax along the glass walls at the end but it was minute. All in all, a great burning candle.
Closing to my review:
I enjoyed this candle. I hit a buy 2 get 2 free on Yankee’s large jars and that’s why I purchased this candle. I’m glad I was finally able to try it.
Would I purchase this scent again? Probably… full price? No. On sale… yes.
Happy candle hunting!

One of my favorite scents Yankee carries.
i love this fragrance too! i had it in a small jar on our kitchen table this fall. but i always seem to have to do a lot of wick maintenance with yankee candles and still end up with wax on my walls! it could just be me though.
