The month of February brought us some new, unexpected challenges. We had SO much interest from companies wanting in this particular box, it was fiercely overwhelming! Add production delays and a paralyzing winter storm that gripped most of the nation, we were simply unable to get our boxes out during the month of February. However, we learned a lot of valuable lessons along the way & now look forward to getting our boxes out on time with room to spare!
About Our Box Reveals
We don’t discuss the full content of our boxes until they have shipped out, as we don’t want to spoil the surprise. After boxes have started to leave our doors, we post our monthly box reveal, going through all the contents of each box type in detail. It’s our opportunity to explain the meaning behind the current month’s theme, how we choose products for the boxes, and to give you some more details on each specific product included. Theme: Black It Up
February’s box was still fun to put together, and with the theme of Black It Up!, we were able to bring you a number of companies from exciting black owned businesses. We want to give a hearty thanks to Miki, owner of Candlemakers of Color. We connected with her on Instagram (before our account hijacking…yet another February disappointment), and she helped us as we selected companies for this box. This faith-based company donates a portion of profits to Lakewood Meals on Wheels, Project Shepherd, Olive Crest and Kingdom Causes Bellflower. The soy candles and wax melts are high on our list of awesomeness. We only wish we had scent descriptions!
The products that came to us were packaged so well. Everything was done with such love and care…and it showed! The wax melts are bags of small shapes, and they hold a world of scent in each one. The favorite one from the bunch we tried was Love Is Kind…ohmygoodness, such a beautiful floral scent. There are no scent descriptions available (our only minor gripe), but this reminded me of a rose scent with beautiful green notes. So lovely and soooo long lasting!
After much research and testing, we made a variety of scents and shared them with our family on Thanksgiving Day 2018. They bought every candle that we made and our family business was born. We are an online candle shop based in Lakewood, CA. Our mission is to encourage you with the words of Jesus (Luke 11:33), refresh your home and give back to our community.

Get ready to chill-ax with the 100% soy wax melts from this company based in Richmond, VA. The embeds are thoughtfully added and help take us to that ‘serenity now’ zone. They don’t have a huge selection, but you really can’t go wrong with any of them. The scents are strong and long lasting, and the embeds are tastefully done. Refresh, with eucalyptus and peppermint, is our favorite.
We currently offer handmade candles, sprays, and wax melts with plans to continue diversifying our product line as we grow but always sticking to our foundation: all-natural, handmade products that inspire and empower.

This company offers up a wonderful array of 100% soy wax melts and candles, as well as luxurious bar soaps and body butters. We couldn’t resist the heart shapes in the clamshell style wax melts. They have a good array of scent choices, with many of them being spot-on scentwise. We loved Fresh Linen, as it was not too perfumey and freshened up our space well. Hot Apple Pie made us want to dig right on in!

This company believes in the power of scent as it ties to our memories. They create vegan soy blend wax melts with thought-provoking names that are sure to please. Again, there is not a huge scent list, but they have some interesting mixes with a variety sure to interest most. Their Bliss includes Strawberry, Cake, & Vanilla, with a beautiful green strawberry scent. Delicious!

This luxurious site gives us a number of items to help us relax and unwind. We’ve chosen to include the bath bombs, which come individually boxed and are oh-so-divine! These bath bombs come individually boxed and have some decorative embeds.

Raw Luxe

Ready to up your wax melt game? The wax brittle from Raw Luxe Candle Company is beautiful and oh-so-pleasing to the nose!
We immediately fell in love with these wax melts. The brittle is well packed for long-lasting freshness. The coloring is delicate and the embeds are just enough without being over-the-top. The scent Sundaes is probably our favorite of the bunch – mouthwatering and slightly sweet. The black cherry notes gave this scent the right amount of umph…yummy! We loved being able to select out our pieces to get just the right amount of wax that we wanted into our melters.
Raw Luxe Co. started in 2019 as a way to sell my candles and other handmade home decor items. I made candles as a gift idea for the holidays.

Our luxury gift this month for The Luxe box was an agate geode coaster from Bedrock Home Deco. These coasters are soooo much prettier in person – we love them! They even have little “feet” to protect your surfaces. This coaster is perfect to set your candle on while you burn and enjoy.

News & Next Month’s Box
While we loved putting together this month’s box, we learned a lot of things along the way. We have decided to make our boxes a little larger to better accommodate all of our goodies, so your boxes next month will look a little different. Also, we normally plan on shipping out boxes on the first Monday and Tuesday of each month. However, since we have still been getting some delays with our suppliers due to the pandemic, we will be shipping out February’s boxes on February 15th & 16th instead.
Next month’s box theme is Spring Scent-Sations, where we feature Spring-themed products. We think you’ll love getting to know these vendors – we certainly have!
