I fell in love with the Donut Collection from Kringle Candle Company and had to get my hands on each and every one. All sorts of scents mixed with the scent of sweet, fried dough…yum!!! The Blueberry Maple Donut candle was the first of the bunch I tried out, and it was a pure winner in my book!
Blueberry Maple Donut, Kringle Candle.
This was a 3-wick tumbler style candle, as are all the candles in the Donut Collection. My Blueberry Maple Donut candle had the cutest design all around – pictures of blueberries, a maple syrup bottle, and donuts…yum! Everything was so thoughtfully done, down to the font and color choices. It was topped with a silver textured lid. Three wicks, fairly well-spaced, and white wax rounded everything out.
The cold sniff was fairly mild – I could smell the scent of maple syrup mostly. I didn’t get much of the blueberry scent or donuts.

Once lit, I could smell more of the maple syrup scent and just hints of some blueberry notes. There was a smoothness to the scent and it didn’t smell too sweet or heavy. I think the mix of the vanilla and coconut added to the blend to take the heaviness out of the maple syrup. However, the blueberry notes just didn’t stand much of a chance with the other notes in the mix. I never could get the smell of cinnamon and it didn’t really smell like a donut to me. It was still delicious, though!
Scent Strength & Scent Throw
This is one of those really interesting fragrances to me. The scent strength was not as strong as I would have liked, but the scent throw was fantastic. I could smell the scent wafting on out from the bedroom it was in and on into the rest of the house. What’s more, the scent lingered long after snuffing out the candle!
This Blueberry Maple Donut candle burned without a hitch. I got a full wax melt pool in a short period of time, and the candle burned evenly throughout. The wicks were easy to maintain – I just needed to trim them every 3-4 hours to make sure to keep them flames under control. I didn’t notice any black sooting from this candle.
I absolutely loved my Blueberry Maple Donut candle from Kringle Candles. It was delicious enough to make me want to burn it several days in a row, and the scent throw was fantastic. I do wish I could have smelled a bit more of the blueberry notes and it didn’t much smell like a donut, but it was delicious nonetheless. I can’t wait to try the others in this collection. Stay tuned!
